Despite the intoxicating temptation that is Daphne Rose, Carter made another attempt to reconcile with Hope last week when she was surprised by his arrival in her mother’s living room. Like, really surprised. He walked right in without knocking! We’re not sure why she’s suddenly holding court in Brooke’s house instead of the cozy cabin she calls home, but no matter, Carter did his best to convince her he hadn’t “turned his back on her when she needed him most” as she insists.
Hope seemed slightly more receptive than she had been during previous pleading sessions, but admitted, during the course of their conversation, that she’d been thinking about Liam. Because of course she was… from the moment the audience learned Liam has an inoperable brain tumor, he was suddenly on everyone’s mind. Out of the blue, Deacon, who took exception to Carter not quitting his job in support of his daughter, decided the best course of action was to push her to get back with her cheating, flip-flopping ex. Make it make sense!
Knowing that Hope’s always had an irresistable pull toward Liam, Carter definitely left daunted. So darn daunted, in fact, that he shares a kiss with Daphne upon his return to Forrester Creations. When word of this gets out (and it will because Katie’s involved), Hope’s going to have new information to add to her deliberations. Will she choose Liam or Carter? Apparently there are no other viable options in all of L.A., so it’s going to be a tough call.
But Daphne’s latest move isn’t the big one that will leave Hope on high alert. Instead, that has to do with this spoiler: Hope gets suspicious of Liam’s new living arrangement.
It’s a foregone conclusion that Liam will refuse to stay in the hospital under medical supervision knowing he has limited time with his daughters before the inevitable happens, and given that Steffy is the only one outside of Liam’s medical team that knows he’s terminal, and Finn’s a doctor, it’s a safe bet that he’ll be discharged into their care. Hopefully, Ridge stays with Taylor after that showstopper business, otherwise they’ll be hella short on space at the cliff house in Malibu. Liam will have to bunk in with Kelly!
Anyway, Hope’s not only going to be surprised, but downright baffled, by Liam moving in with Steffy and Finn. Naturally, Liam’s refusing to let anyone else know he’s dying, or to allow Steffy or Finn to tell anyone, so Hope’s going to go from perplexed to high alert when she asks questions and gets stonewalled.
What does this have to do with Hope’s love life? Well, Liam moving into Steffy’s might prove to be a reminder of their history and why she wanted nothing to do with her ex-husband and his divided loyalties. It could send her back into the safe harbor of Carter’s arms. Mind you, if she finds out Carter’s been caught in another liplock with Daphne, she may not want him either. Liam, might start looking pretty good again, even if he is living in Steffy’s guesthouse.
On the other hand, Hope could end up deciding that neither of these men are for her, and leave town to see how Thomas’ engagement is going. After all, she hasn’t seen Douglas for a while. She might even declare that Finn deserves better and go there again. We’re sure Sheila and Luna would endorse the idea wholeheartedly. All we know is that the news of Liam’s big move is not only going to throw Hope off, but will also leave her rethinking her romantic options entirely!
