Just last week, the Denver Nuggets were the odds-on favorites to win the Western Conference.

On top of that, they had the second-best odds to win the NBA championship, trailing only the Boston Celtics.

However, after dropping back-to-back home games to the Minnesota Timberwolves, their odds have plummeted.

As shown by Action Network on Twitter, the defending NBA champions are now 10-1 to win the whole thing, boasting +1000 odds.

The Celtics are still at the forefront with -105 odds, followed by the Timberwolves (+410).

Then, we find the Oklahoma City Thunder (+700) and New York Knicks (+900) ahead of the Nuggets.

The Dallas Mavericks have the same odds (+1000), with the Indiana Pacers (+6000) and Cleveland Cavaliers (+10000) rounding up the pool.

This speaks volumes about how tough things could be for Mike Malone’s team.

They beat the Timberwolves last year in the playoffs, but Anthony Edwards has blossomed into a two-way superstar this season, and it’s hard to see them losing four of their next five.

The Timberwolves are undefeated in the playoffs thus far, sweeping the Phoenix Suns before these two wins to get to an impressive 6-0 record.

The Thunder are also undefeated, but they have yet to play more than four games, and the Mavericks aren’t going to be an easy opponent to get past.

As for the Celtics, they’ve been the team to beat in the league all year long, and while the Knicks pose a legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference, they should still be favored over every single team left in contention.
