“You Still Don’t Have A Guarantee”: Aaron Rodgers Jets Experience Should Be A Lesson To Steelers Says NFL Analyst

Aaron Rodgers may not necessarily save the Pittsburgh Steelers if he does finally decide to join the team according to former Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark. While it is still not fully confirmed, Rodgers is heavily expected to join the Steelers for the upcoming NFL season and many NFL analysts have different thoughts about the same.

Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers has been in the NFL since 2005 after being selected by the Green Bay Packers as the 24th pick in the very first round of the draft. After playing for the Packers until 2022, the quarterback then joined the New York Jets for the previous season. However, as a result of his sub-par season, the Jets eventually had to let go of the veteran quarterback.

“You still don’t have a guarantee that Aaron Rodgers is going to come into that building and save the day. You don’t know what Aaron Rodgers is going to be if he does decide to play football for the Pittsburgh Steelers. If I’m making decisions in this draft, I’m trying to build my team in the best possible way to win regardless of what Aaron Rodgers decides to do. Because if you make all of these concessions or if you make all of these decisions just for Aaron Rodgers, as we just watched another organization [New York Jets] do for the last two years, it doesn’t guarantee you a championship.” Ryan Clark said on ESPN’s ‘Get Up’ about Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have shown interest in Aaron Rodgers long before the 2025 NFL draft. However, Rodgers has kept them dangling at a distance and is yet to give a solid response about the same. In the last season, the Pittsburgh Steelers finished second in the AFC North table after winning ten games and losing seven. The Steelers made it to the Wild Card Round but lost to the Baltimore Ravens with a final score of 28-14.

Aaron Rodgers Finds Competitor In Kirk Cousins

Aaron Rodgers needs to make a decision soon about joining the Pittsburgh Steelers or the team might simply go with another player. According to recent reports, Kirk Cousins from the Atlanta Falcons is interested in joining the team and Pittsburgh might also be eager to bring him in.

Kirk Cousins joined the Atlanta Falcons in the previous season, but it seems like he is looking for a new home, especially as the team decided to make Michael Penix Jr. their starting quarterback. It is still unclear as to which player the Pittsburgh Steelers will go with for the upcoming NFL season.
