The Washington Commanders have been a different franchise since Josh Harris bought the team from Dan Snyder. The Commanders made it to the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles before falling short of reaching the Super Bowl in quarterback Jayden Daniels’s rookie season.

With the progress Washington has made, there was an announcement in the White House on Monday about the NFL Draft taking place in 2027 in Washington D.C at the National Mall. Harris was in attendance along with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and President Donald J. Trump. There was a lot that was said about this news with D.C. getting the NFL Draft in 2027.

The Commanders owner spoke about being the host for the 2027 NFL Draft. Well, Harris thanked Trump on Monday when speaking and said,
“You are the ultimate Commander.”
Trump is the 47th President of the United States and it felt like an honor for him to thank him for this wonderful opportunity for the Commanders to host the 2027 NFL Draft. This is only the beginning of special things for this franchise as they also hope to get back to playing football games at RFK Stadium in the future.

I bet somewhere, Dan Snyder is sneering if not crying. He sells the team, and in 2 years:
*Franchise QB Drafted
*NFC Championship Appearance
*New Stadium
*D.C. Hosting the Draft.Couldn’t happen to a better guy. 🤣
