The LA Rams are 5-5, and hold a slim advantage at home in SoFi Stadium with a 3-2 record at Ingleswood, California. But they are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles (8-2), a team riding a six-game winning streak, a 4-1 road record this season, and a comfortable grasp of the NFC East Division title with only seven games remaining on their schedule.

The Rams defensive front is good. But the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line is very good. Can the Rams defenders put up a great game? That is the plan.
Both the Rams and the Eagles want to win this game. For the Eagles, it sticks another feather in their tail, and gives them an almost insurmountable lead in their division. For the Rams, a win will improve the team to over .500 for the first time this season, and could net them a share of first place in the NFC West Division if the Seattle Seahawks manage to defeat the Arizona Cardinals.
Of course, those are a lot of dominoes that need to fall the right way. So let's look at this from another angle? Which team in Week 12 can more afford to lose the game? The answer is an undeniable response: The Philadelphia Eagles. The hapless Dallas Cowboys (4-7) rose from the ashes to defeat the Washington Commanders (7-5) on the road to give the Philadelphia Eagles a huge three-game lead in the division. After Sunday Night Football is in the record books, both the Eagles and Commanders will have just six (or five) games left on their schedule.
So a loss by the Eagles is relatively painless.
But the Rams now hold two conceivable paths to postseason. If they win the NFC West Division outright, they will earn an automatic playoff berth. But if the Commanders continue their three-game losing streak and the Rams get red-hot, the Rams could leapfrog the Commanders for the seventh and final seeding for the Wild Card Round of the 2025 NFL Playoffs.
While I won't jinx any outcomes, other dominoes in the NFC West are falling the right way for the Rams this weekend.
