Alabama men’s basketball guard Chris Youngblood walked onto the court for the Kentucky game sporting new eyewear.
Goggles to be specific.
Youngblood sustained an eye injury after some contact in the Auburn game this past Saturday. It forced him to go to the locker room at Neville Arena. He returned later in the Auburn game with a bandage on his left eye. The ESPN broadcast labeled it an eye abrasion.
Then fast forward to Friday in Nashville, and Youngblood added the goggles.
Youngblood sported the new look as No. 3 seed Alabama faced No. 6 seed Kentucky on Friday night in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.
Youngblood is a Tuscaloosa native who transferred to the Crimson Tide before the 2024-25 season from South Florida. This season, he’s averaging 10 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.
