Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles has had a very busy and successful offseason. Recently, the Bears GM extended defensive back Kyler Gordon, making him the highest paid slot cornerback in the NFL. Poles is making it a priority to extend key pieces of this football team, and he’s done it again.
In a new post on X from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, it has been revealed that the Bears have now extended another huge piece to Dennis Allen’s defense.
The Chicago Bears have agreed to a contract extension with TJ Edwards
According to Rapoport, the deal is a 2-year extension worth $20M with $16.6M fully guaranteed.
The tackling machine has been a major part of the Bears defense since joining in 2023, and is expected to have a great season under defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.
