On the summer show, former contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are given another shot at love while living together in paradise. The producers are shaking up the show this time around by introducing “Golden” contestants into the mix.
Reality Steve has revealed there’s a format change this year with an interesting twist.
We also have some details on who stays together in the end, who allegedly gets engaged, and what the winning couple will get. Also, find out if any golden contestants end up hooking up with younger ones!
There’s a twist this season on Bachelor in Paradise…
Reality Steve is reporting that the first few weeks of the show will follow the same format as previous seasons, with contestants being eliminated if they don’t receive a rose at a rose ceremony and remain in a couple.
The “Golden” cast will not arrive until after the second rose ceremony, but they are not dating the younger cast.
“They are all immersed in the same living area, but because of the way they were integrated, and when we brought the Goldens in, they stayed in their respective lanes. A lot of thought went into that. And that’s not to say that it couldn’t happen or it didn’t happen, but largely speaking, they gravitated towards their own peers. There’s a lot of camaraderie and partying and hijinks that goes on between all of them,” new showrunner Scott Teti told Variety.
The twist happens after the fourth rose ceremony, at which point there are no new cast members introduced.
Reality Steve believes that there will be six younger couples and three golden couples remaining at this point on the show.
Steve doesn’t know all of the exact details of what will happen yet, but he believes there will be a voting process that affects who stays and who leaves. Money is also involved!
The winning couple “will get paid” and it’s believed that the number will be six-figures. Reality Steve is reporting the prize will be $500,000 for the winning couple.

April (golden) and Sean (younger) share a kiss!
Reality Steve reports that there is no crossover between the younger and older casts on Bachelor in Paradise, except for one moment during a challenge where two contestants share a kiss.
April Kirkwood (from The Golden Bachelor) and Sean McLaughlin (from Charity’s season of The Bachelorette) made out during a challenge.
The kiss doesn’t lead to a romance and none of the generations mixed throughout the season, other than that moment.

None of the “Golden” contestants end up in couples
Reality Steve reports, “None of the Goldens got engaged. I’m not sure any of them are even still dating.”
Still, it sounds like it will be entertaining to watch them on the show!
Showrunner Scott Teti told Variety, “I think the unique thing about bringing the Goldens in is the POV they bring. The Goldens come in with a lot fewer inhibitions. They’ve lived a lot more life. I think they’re much freer, and their way of thinking is a bit more uninhibited. So when there’s this crossover of the two generations, it’s a really fun mix — the younger is giving the Golden cast dating advice, telling them how to swipe left or write, and the vice versa, [advice like], ‘Lower your standards, honey, if you want to find a man.’ So it was very comedic and endearing.”
