With Super Bowl LIX set to decide the NFL champion of the 2024 season on Sunday, Lids released its list of the best-selling NFL player jersey in each state for the 2024 season on Tuesday.
The top seller in Alabama might give a clue as to the allegiance of the state’s fans in Super Bowl LIX, in which the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will square off for this season’s title.
Lids’ best-selling NFL player jersey in Alabama was the No. 1 of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who played for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2016 through 2018.
Hurts has the best-selling jersey in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, too.
Hurts’ opposing quarterback in Sunday’s game, Patrick Mahomes, had Lids’ best-selling jersey in Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota and Tennessee.
Hurts isn’t the only former Alabama player who is a state leader on the Lids list. Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young had the best-selling jersey in North Carolina, and Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II had the best-selling jersey in Colorado.
Former Pinson Valley High School and Auburn quarterback Bo Nix was the Broncos’ rookie quarterback this season and had Lids’ best-selling jersey in Wyoming.
Lids is an outlet for officially licensed NFL apparel and memorabilia.
