What new billboard message to Cooper Kupp says and where fans will see it

The Los Angeles Rams had enjoyed Kupp’s production for nearly a decade. Now, he’s a member of a rival in the NFC West.

For the last couple of years, whispers, murmurs, and rumors surrounded the Los Angeles Rams and Cooper Kupp. Kupp was viewed as the best trade piece on the roster by many.

Eventually, the Rams caved under the weight of Kupp’s expensive contract. The wide receiver was released, getting sent to the Seattle Seahawks. The Los Angeles Rams signed Davante Adams, and the transition is now settled.

While it was a tough sight for the Rams to see Kupp join the rival Seahawks, it is a bright moment for the state he is returning home to, and the red carpet continues to roll out.

The touching message for Cooper Kupp

A new billboard has popped up 287 miles east of Lumen Field. Located at 12115 E Sprague Ave in Spokane Valley, Washington, the billboard has a simple message for Kupp and his wife, Anna.

“Welcome home, Coop & Anna,” the message read.

It appears that the message had been orchestrated by Eastern Washington University, the school that Kupp played for before joining the Los Angeles Rams in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Kupp’s move to Seattle has seen him move back to his home state of Washington, with his career coming full circle.

According to the Eagles’ official metrics, Kupp earned at least 1600 yards in three of his four seasons with the team, including at least 1400 yards every season.

Kupp was drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, but his best three-year run with the franchise came in 2019-2021. In that time, he logged nearly 4000 yards, including one season with 145 catches for 1947 yards and 16 touchdowns.

He also won a Super Bowl MVP, helping the team vanquish the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of the 2021 season.

How Cooper Kupp’s homecoming could be cut short

While things are in a honeymoon state in the off-season, the most important part of any player’s job is producing on the field.

If Kupp struggles in 2025, it might not take much for fans and the Seahawks to look to turn the page. Last season, the wide receiver earned 710 yards and six touchdowns.

The Seahawks have already baked in an early escape route into his contract. As soon as 2026, the Seahawks are financially incentivized to move on, according to Spotrac. Of course, if Kupp works well with the franchise, his deal can continue through the 2027 season.

At the end of his current deal, he will be 34 years old. Will Kupp see the end of his deal, or will it be ended prematurely?
