Week 2 of the new NFL season isn’t going so well for Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears after they lost to the Houston Texans. This led CJ Stroud to send out a message to the rookie quarterback after getting a win on him.
In a tightly contested matchup, the Texans emerged victorious against the Bears, winning with a score of 19-13. Stroud led his team with a solid performance, throwing for 260 yards and a touchdown. His key play came early in the second quarter when he connected with Nico Collins for a 28-yard touchdown, giving Houston a 10-3 lead. Kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn was instrumental, successfully converting four field goals from impressive distances of 56, 47, 59, and 53 yards.
Defensively, the Texans were relentless, sacking Williams seven times and forcing two interceptions. Despite being the first overall pick in the draft, Williams struggled under pressure, completing 23 of 37 passes for 174 yards.
Collins was the standout player, catching eight passes for a game-high 135 yards, effectively contributing to the Texans’ offensive efforts. His ability to create plays after the catch was notable, with six receptions gaining 15 yards or more.
