Warriors Eyes Set on Bucks’ Khris Middleton to Reignite Title Run

As the Golden State Warriors gear up for a potential resurgence in the 2025-2026 NBA season, their front office is reportedly setting sights on a bold move: targeting Milwaukee Bucks star forward Khris Middleton to reignite their championship ambitions.

After a season filled with inconsistency, aging legs, and early playoff exits, the Warriors are well aware that their championship window is closing. Bringing in a proven two-way player like Middleton—known for his clutch shooting, elite mid-range game, and defensive reliability—could provide the exact spark they need to compete in the highly competitive Western Conference.

Middleton, a three-time All-Star and 2021 NBA Champion, is currently under contract with the Bucks but has seen his role shift as Milwaukee transitions into a new era with Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the charge. With younger talent emerging in Milwaukee, the Warriors see a window of opportunity to negotiate a trade package that would satisfy both parties.

Sources close to the organization suggest that Golden State is willing to part with a combination of young assets and draft capital—potentially including Jonathan Kuminga or Moses Moody—to secure Middleton’s services. The belief is that Middleton could seamlessly slot alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, forming a trio built on experience, unselfish play, and postseason poise.

Adding Middleton would not only bolster Golden State’s perimeter scoring but also provide much-needed defensive stability on the wing, something the Warriors have sorely lacked since the departure of key players from their title runs. Middleton’s ability to create his own shot while guarding elite opponents makes him an ideal fit for Steve Kerr’s system.

Whether the Bucks are willing to let go of a veteran leader remains to be seen. However, with the Warriors aggressively exploring win-now options to capitalize on the final years of the Stephen Curry era, Middleton could be the missing piece to one last deep playoff run.

The dynasty may not be dead yet—but without a bold move, it soon might be.
