Vikings land Camryn Bynum replacement in 7-round 2025 NFL mock draft

The Minnesota Vikings have been aggressive in free agency this offseason. They have improved several areas of need by signing high-quality free agents while hoping they can keep the team competitive in the NFC North.

Minnesota still has salary cap space left to sign more players, but they also have four selections in the 2025 NFL Draft. Those picks can be used on prospects who could become major contributors in the future.

Nick Emmanwori

Let's take a look at which prospects the Vikings could select when they are on the clock at the 2025 NFL Draft in April.

Minnesota Vikings land Camryn Bynum replacement in 7-round 2025 NFL mock draft

First-Round Pick (24nd Overall)

Nick Emmanwori - S (South Carolina)

The Minnesota Vikings may be bringing back Harrison Smith for the upcoming season, but they lost their other starting safety in free agency to the Indianapolis Colts. Camryn Bynum was a playmaker and a fan-favorite, making replacing him a challenge for general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.

South Carolina defensive back Nick Emmanwori is a big safety who showed off surprising athleticism with the Gamecocks. The six-foot-three, 220-pound defensive back is inconsistent at times but has enough flashes of amazing play to make him a first-round pick.

Emmanwori is a safety that could be used anywhere on the field and could become an important part of Minnesota's defense in the future. In three years with South Carolina, he registered 244 combined tackles, 11 pass defenses, and six interceptions in 37 games.

Third-Round Pick (97th Overall)

Dylan Fairchild - G (Georgia)

The Vikings are looking to give their offensive line a major boost this offseason and have started by signing center Ryan Kelly and guard Will Fries from the Colts. However, there is still a question about the other open guard spot.

It will likely come down to a competition with Blake Brandel for the job. Drafting someone like Georgia's Dylan Fairchild could be exactly what Minnesota needs to get the best out of their interior linemen.

Fairchild played four seasons at Georgia where he six-foot-five, 318-pound lineman showed great athleticism. It wasn't surprising to see him test exceptionally well at the NFL Combine since he is one of the best pass blockers in this draft class.

Fifth-Round Pick (139th Overall)

Tommi Hill - CB (Arizona State/Nebraska)

Like Minnesota's situation with other positions, the team has addressed the cornerback position but will still need help for depth and future contributors, making the position almost a must-select at the 2025 NFL Draft.

Nebraska defensive back Tommi Hill is a great Day 3 value whose tape will jump off the screen at anyone analyzing him. The six-foot, 205-pound corner is impressively athletic and shows excellent awareness to plays happening around him.

Hill dealt with a plantar fasciitis issue in 2024 but that hopefully won't be a major problem in the NFL. Limitations in his final year of college could see his stock slip and make him available at this phase of the draft.

Fifth-Round Pick (187th Overall)

Theo Wease Jr. - WR (Oklahoma/Missouri)

Wide receiver is a top-heavy position for the Minnesota Vikings. Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison have shown themselves to be consistent contributors, but the team lacks help past them on the depth chart.

Theo Wease Jr. will impress people with his size but doesn't have the athleticism that some of the other prospects have in this draft class. He won't outrun defenders, but he can create separation using skill and technique.

The six-foot-three, 200-pound pass-catcher would bring 63 games of college experience to Minnesota after scoring 20 touchdowns in the NCAA. He would benefit from a situation where he can be brought along slowly and develop before having a major role.
