Vikings head into border battle vs. Packers arguably as the healthiest team in the NFL

When you enter the stretch run of the season, it's huge if you are healthy. The Minnesota Vikings might be the healthiest team in the National Football League right now and the injury report is another signal of that fact.

Vikings head into border battle vs. Packers arguably as the healthiest team in the NFL

  • CB Fabian Moreau (hip): Out
  • ILB Ivan Pace Jr. (hamstring): Full

The Vikings are likely going to see Pace return on Sunday from his hamstring injury. If they are going to activate Pace, the Vikings will need to do so by Saturday afternoon. The return of Pace would be huge for the Vikings in trying to stop the Green Bay Packers run game led by running back Josh Jacobs.

Moreau being out isn't much of a surprise, as he missed last week's game with a hip injury. He didn't practice all week.

The Vikings overall are a very healthy team. Of the players they started the season with, only left tackle Christian Darrisaw and nose tackle Taki Taimani are on injured reserve. In totality, the Vikings have just eight players on injured reserve.

  • Darrisaw
  • Taimani
  • Pace
  • CB Mekhi Blackmon
  • QB J.J. McCarthy
  • CB NaJee Thompson
  • OT Jeremy Flax
  • OG Henry Byrd

The Packers are in a much different situation when it comes to injuries. They will be missing two starters in the defensive backfield.

  • CB Jaire Alexander (knee): Out
  • LT Andre Dillard (concussion): Out
  • LB Quay Walker (ankle): Out
  • S Evan Williams (quad): Out
  • S Javon Bullard (ankle): Questionable
  • LB Ty'Ron Hopper (ankle): Questionable
  • WR Christian Watson (knee): Questionable

It's interesting that the Packers have listed Watson as questionable despite not practicing all week with a knee injury. Not having Watson could be huge for the Vikings' defense, as he's their best vertical threat.

The game will kick off at 3:25 CST on Sunday.
