Vanderpump Rules': Saying Goodbye to OG Cast After Season 12 News

During an appearance on the January 2 episode of the “Vanderpump Rules Party” podcast, Laura-Leigh, who appeared in the first season of “Vanderpump Rules,” said she has been in the process of creating “an animated TV show.” According to Laura-Leigh, the series is “about dinosaurs that work at a strip club.” She explained that the strip club is “going under,” causing the son of its owner to decide that the best line of action is to bring “in a reality TV crew.”

“I created this from the ground up. I hand drew these characters,” said Laura-Leigh.

Laura-Leigh also shared that she believes the series “will be so relatable to kids and adults.”

Laura-Leigh Says She Was Only Paid $500 for Filming ‘Vanderpump Rules’

While recording the podcast episode, Laura-Leigh noted that she filmed the first season of “Vanderpump Rules” when she was 21-years-old. She also said she only received $500 for filming the series.

“No residuals. Nothing. And I had to, like, go after them to get that $500,” said Laura-Leigh.

She also said that her “Vanderpump Rules” castmates, including her ex-boyfriend, Jax Taylor, received $8,000 for filming “Vanderpump Rules” season 1.

“The only reason I know that is because that’s all the money Jax had. To his name. And I was like, ‘Well, if they’re getting money, why can’t I get money?’ They were like, ‘Okay, we’ll give you $500.’ So I got paid $500,” said Laura-Leigh.

Laura-Leigh Said She Has ‘Nothing Bad to Say’ About Her Ex, Jax Taylor

In the “Vanderpump Rules Party” podcast episode, Laura-Leigh referenced that Taylor broke up with her after he went to her Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in “Vanderpump Rules” season 1.

Laura-Leigh said, however, that she has “nothing bad to say about Jax.”

“One thing I will say is he never lied about who he was. He may have lied about situations or circumstances. But he never lied to me about who he was. He kind of owns it,” said Laura-Leigh.

In addition, she said she believes Taylor is “made for the lifestyle of reality TV.”

Brittany Cartwright & Jax Taylor Discussed Their Breakup

Taylor’s estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, filed for divorce in October 2024. In a November 2024 interview on “Bravo’s Hot Mic” podcast, Cartwright said she “felt relieved” after she filed for divorce. She said she decided she needed to officially end her relationship after Taylor sent her aggressive text messages during his 30-day stay at a mental health facility during the summer of 2024. In addition, she said she did not believe Taylor had “changed at all in those 30 days.”

Taylor responded to Cartwright’s comments in a separate November 2024 Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast episode. He said he did not believe Cartwright, the mother of his 3-year-old son, Cruz, wants him to change his behavior.

“I think she really wants to see me fail. I really do,” said Taylor.
