Vancouver Canucks Set New Franchise Record With Win Over Ottawa Senators
The Vancouver Canucks continued their winning ways on the road, which after Saturday's game, got them in the record books in franchise history.
Rick Tocchet's group dug deep on Saturday night to pull off a big 4-3 win over the Ottawa Senators to kick off their road trip on a positive note.
When a team is 54 years old like the Vancouver Canucks are, it's not often you see them set a new franchise record, but that's what they did on Saturday night, led by Jake DeBrusk's three-point game.
Vancouver Canucks set new franchise record
Following the win on Saturday night, Sportsnet Stats on X shared for the first time in Vancouver Canucks franchise history, they've won seven of their first eight road games to start a season.
Vancouver's record on the road is 7-1-0 and they're currently on a seven-game winning streak away from Rogers Arena, with their lone loss coming back on October 15th against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Since then, the Vancouver Canucks have rattled off seven straight road victories with wins coming against the Florida Panthers, Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings and last night, the Ottawa Senators.
So far this year, do not like playing at home and it's been a tale of two seasons to say the least.
While the Canucks sit 7-1-0 on the road, at Rogers Arena this season, Rick Tocchet's group has a record of 3-5-3, with those three wins coming against Pittsburgh (October 26th), Calgary (November 12th) and Chicago (November 16th).
Good news for the Vancouver Canucks and their fans - they have five more games on their road trip before returning home to Rogers Arena on December 6th where they'll host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
If the Canucks are able to win three or four of these next five games on the road, it'll put them in a really good position heading home and will give them some positivity and momentum before their six-game homestand beginning December 6th.
