With the Vancouver Canucks in pursuit of some big talent this offseason, General Manager Patrik Allvin received some pretty big news today regarding the availability of young Buffalo Sabres Star Winger, JJ Peterka.

 

Although there are many names they can target, with all that occurred this season, it will certainly be a hard sell to get them to sign here.

Regardless of how hard it may be, that is the job of the general manager, too sell teams on what they have to offer to get what they want.

On Sunday, Allvin got some pretty encouraging news from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman as the Buffalo Sabres announced their are officially "listening" to trade calls on 23 year old star winger, JJ Peterka.

For months now, the Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres defenseman Bowen Byram have been liked by rumors and speculation from insiders.

It makes a lot of sense for Patrik Allvin to start calling the Sabres on Peterka, the only thing is that they need to have what Buffalo wants in order to get a deal done.
