Brock Boeser has entered some pretty elite company in Vancouver Canucks franchise history following his two-goal effort on Tuesday night against Winnipeg.
After the Vancouver Canucks opted to stand pat at the NHL trade deadline and not move Brock Boeser, the pending unrestricted free agent has struggled offensively and looked like a shadow of his former self when compared to his career-year in 2023-24.
On Tuesday night, Brock Boeser turned things up a notch as the Vancouver Canucks faced the National Hockey League leading Winnipeg Jets for their final game at Rogers Arena for the month of March.

During Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets, Brock Boeser scored twice and added an assist, in doing so, recorded his sixth career 20+ goal season in the NHL, which could bode him well on the free agent market this summer if he wants to go that route rather than re-signing in Vancouver.
With his two goals on Tuesday night, Brock Boeser has now passed Thomas Gradin for sole possession ninth on the Vancouver Canucks' all-time goals list with 199 so far.
Boeser needs just two more goals to tie and three to pass former Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat for eighth place and with 14 games remaining in the regular season, there's a very good chance he'll reach that mark.
'After a two-goal performance against the Jets, Brock Boeser has moved into sole possession of ninth on the Canucks all-time leading goal-scorers list ' Sportsnet said in a social media post.
Boeser, 28, has been a big piece of the Vancouver Canucks' offense since making the jump to professional hockey in the spring of 2017 and if he does decide to hit the open market as a UFA on July 1st, it would be a big loss for the organization.
There are several prominent free agents Patrik Allvin could target this summer, with varying costs, but it may be difficult to find someone for cheaper than the $8 million Boeser may be seeking that would replace his production.
There's still a little over three months until free agency opens, so hopefully both sides will be able to sit down and get a deal done at some point before Canada Day.
