Tyler Boyd To Sign With the Minnesota Vikings Prediction

Tennessee Titans Predicted to Cut Ties With Veteran WR

The Minnesota Vikings had a huge spending spree in the 2025 NFL Free Agency, but the most concerning thing is the depth of the WR room. They have Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but they definitely need more talent to give JJ McCarthy a great situation.

Tyler Boyd had a phenomenal career with the Cincinnati Bengals but only had 39 catches for 390 yards. After finishing his one-year deal for $4.5 million, he has the choice in NFL Free Agency, and his agent needs to be on the phone with every NFL Team. Despite still being just 30 years old, the 6’2 big-slot receiver still is a capable NFL receiver.

Tyler Boyd Signing with the Minnesota Vikings?

Why The Vikings Should Sign Tyler Boyd

The Vikings are rocking a receiving core outside the Top-2 guys, that is extremely uninspiring. Jalen Nailor and Rondale Moore are the wide receiver three and four, once again extremely uninspiring.

Minnesota has a grand total of 0 receivers outside Jefferson and Addison that are under contract past 2025.

Another major reason why this is crucial, is because free agency is to fill needs while the draft is to draft best players available. The Vikings have a grand total of 4 draft picks in this upcoming draft, the worst haul out of any NFL team.

Why Tyler Boyd Should Sign With the Vikings

This part is simple because Boyd doesn’t have a job yet. Obviously he’s from the Pennsylvania area so the Steelers could be an option. Besides this, it seems like there is a lack of urgency for NFL teams because receivers like Amari Cooper are still available, but after the draft there should be a team like the Vikings that reach out about a potential contract.

Boyd is not over the hill as a wide receiver, and is going to be signed to a team as a wide receiver three or four, so the Vikings should make it easy on themselves and get him locked up for a season on a couple million.
