Dalen Cambre’s college resume doesn’t exactly scream “next NFL superstar.” Ten catches for 123 yards in 63 games at Louisiana Lafayette is not a lot of offensive production. It's not shocking he went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. But if you’ve been paying attention to New York Giants minicamp, you know the stats — or lack thereof — won’t tell the whole story.
The rookie wide receiver may have arrived as an afterthought, but he’s already flipping that narrative. He's had some highlight moments during his first offseason program, getting in some quality reps with Jameis Winston early and often. This was their connection during OTAs:

That is a Jameis dot right into the breadbasket of one Dalen Cambre.
That connection was further forged during mandatory camp. Cambre hauled in a clean touchdown on a quick out from Famous Jameis early in practice and followed it with the highlight of the day — a perfectly tracked deep shot down the sideline from fellow rookie Jaxson Dart. Two feet in, no broken stride, and an effortless over-the-shoulder grab that caught some eyes.
Jaxson Dart finished minicamp practice with a 25-yard dart deep down the right sideline to Dalen Cambre for a TD. Strutted confidently to the sideline afterwards.

There’s a reason the G-Men brought him in despite his lack of production. Cambre is a special teams guy. He’s blocked multiple punts, returned a fumble for a touchdown, served as a reliable holder, and has a legitimate athletic profile — 4.43-second 40-yard dash and the short-area quicks to move around coverage. That’s the kind of skill set that gives back-end guys a real shot to stick.
Fortunately for Giants fans... and probably unfortunately for Cambre, there's been another receiver stealing headlines during the offseason program.
While Cambre might’ve stolen the show at the end of minicamp, he’s not the only undrafted rookie receiver turning heads. Beaux Collins has made his presence known, too, and his early run with the first-team offense hasn’t gone unnoticed either.
The former Clemson and Notre Dame product took advantage of increased reps with Jalin Hyatt sidelined and caught a pair of touchdowns from Russell Wilson, including one that dropped right over his shoulder in stride. Size was never the concern with Collins — he’s 6-foot-3, 200 pounds and looks the part — but consistency was. So far, he’s flashed enough to wonder if there’s something real to build on.
This is exactly the type of summer development New York needed from their receivers. With Malik Nabers still not practicing and Hyatt’s minor setback being treated cautiously, any wideout making plays right now is stacking value. And in Collins and Cambre, Big Blue might have found two overlooked pieces who could sneak their way onto the depth chart.
The wide receiver room is already crowded, so even cracking the conversation is a tall order. Odds are, there’s only room for one of them... which makes this one of the sneakier, more entertaining position battles to watch this summer.
At the very least, they’ve both earned a longer look when camp opens in late July. And based on how minicamp wrapped, that might be just the beginning.
