The nine-time Pro Bowler is approaching the twilight of his career but has refused to call it a day in the offseason.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce on earning second Super Bowl ring: 'It's a whole other feeling to get two'

Despite dropping under the 1,000 receiving yards marker for the first time since 2015, Travis Kelce is just as confident of bouncing back.

Travis Kelce has been the perfect partner for Patrick Mahomes since 2018

The Kansas City Chiefs legend has developed an explosive partnership with Patrick Mahomes, with the latter attributing ‘almost all’ of his success to Kelce.

Moreover, both players have been the imperative offensive foundations that have formed this modern-day dynasty.

The seven-time All-Pro has two years remaining on his contract with the franchise. On April 29th, he put pen to paper on a pay increase for the existing two years. This move made him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history at $34.25 million – a status that has been deserved for a long time.

As Kelce has a minimum of two years remaining on the Chiefs roster, he is desperate to win as many Super Bowls as he can.

The Chiefs’ next quest is attempting to become the first team in NFL history to achieve the illustrious ‘three-peat’.

Therefore, the opportunity to become a serial winner is alive as Kelce revealed in a recent interview how many rings he would be content with.

Travis Kelce locked in on winning a ‘couple more Super Bowls’ before retiring

“Couple more Super Bowls,” he answered when questioned about what milestone he wants to achieve.

“I told you that feeling in the end zone is the greatest feeling. Man, hoisting that trophy at the end – that’s the mecca right there. The Vince Lombardi [Trophy] at the end of the year with my teammates and coaches and the fan base in Kansas City. That’s all I got my mindset on.”

Travis Kelce will be satisfied with lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy a ‘couple’ more times before he calls it quits.

Furthermore, the focus on legacy is paramount for the Chiefs tight end. Most players would be desperate to achieve a fraction of what the 34-year-old has, but this is a testament to his mentality.

Kelce confirms that he will be satisfied to finish with six rings to his name

“Three more? That’s what I’m talking about I’ll take six,” Kelce responded when confirming his final aspirations, per Fox News.

To achieve ‘six’ rings, the veteran must receive an extension on his current deal. Nonetheless, if his stats are just as impressive in two years, the front office would have no problem justifying a legendary extension.
