Travis Kelce defends Kylie Kelce after her altercation with with crazy fan in May

At the end of May, Kylie Kelce was caught in an altercation with a fan while out with her husband, Jason Kelce. The star couple had just enjoyed a date night at Steve & Cookies Restaurant and Oyster Bar in Margate City, NJ when they were harassed by a "fan" over the holiday weekend.

The fan, a young woman, had allegedly interrupted Jason and Kylie's date, asking them for a picture.

When Kylie politely declined, the fan went crazy.

A video captured by a bystander (via the WTTW podcast) showed Kylie standing her ground.

And Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce stood up for his sister-in-law when asked about this moment during his recent appearance on that Bussin’ with the Boys podcast on Tuesday.

“Getting to know Kylie and her family and everything throughout the years has just been awesome because she even has that, like, toughness of, ‘Don’t [expletive] with me,’” Travis said. “And you saw that in that video of [her and Jason Kelce] just trying to have date night with their friends over at the Shore where it’s a big family environment — everybody’s having a good time every single day out there at the Shore — and this lady just comes in trying to be entitled, telling Jason and Kylie like, ‘You have to take a picture with my kid. Like, you’re doing it now.’ It escalated into something that it shouldn’t have even been.”

She stands up for what is right, and Travis explained it best: they are "the nicest people until you take it to that point. And then it's like, 'Alright, now I gotta chokeslam you, b****.'"

In the short clip, you can hear the woman yell to Kylie, "I don't give a f**k who you are, you'll never be allowed in this town again!"

Kylie fires back, "I can smell the alcohol on your breath, you're embarrassing yourself."

The woman later apologized along with the mayor of Margate, Michael Collins.

“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason and Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate over the holiday weekend,” Collins said in a statement. “As a father with young children, I know, as well as anyone, the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer Jason and Kylie an opportunity for a redo date night dinner in Margate on me.”

Travis' comments are the first time someone from the family has spoken about the incident.
