Noah Juulsen was waived by the Vancouver Canucks on Monday afternoon and claimed by the Florida Panthers - at least in the reality of the host of a Toronto based podcast.

Steve Dangle Podcast host falls for obvious fake tweet

On Monday's Steve Dangle Podcast, host of the show Adam Wylde opened the show by sharing the "big news of the day" - the Florida Panthers claiming Noah Juulsen off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks.

Wylde even wondered aloud if Juulsen could become the next Gustav Forsling.

Defensive stalwart Noah Juulsen has been claimed by the Florida Panthers, he was put on waivers yesterday by the Vancouver Canucks. And I don't want to get weird about this - but they did the same thing with a guy named Gus Forsling about 5 years ago from the Carolina Hurricanes.

The 27 year old defenseman is NOT on waivers, although he was claimed by the Florida Panthers in January of 2021 - from the Montreal Canadiens.

It appears that Wylde fell for a, rather obvious, fake post from a Canucks fan on twitter.

Thanks for everything, Noah. Best of luck in FLA. #Canucks

While Wylde doesn't claim to be an insider, you would think verifying a claim with a 5-10 second Google search could be in his wheelhouse before publicly bringing attention to it.

Perhaps it's time to stick to the Leafs, fellas.
