Tom Schwartz Gives Surprising Update on Tom Sandoval Friendship (June 2025)

The infamous Scandoval debacle wasn’t just the end of the relationship between Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval. Tom’s affair nearly cost him the loss of his best friend and co-star Tom Schwartz too.

Back when the shocking Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules, the two’s LA bar Schwartz and Sandy’s was a huge hit. But as the cheating news broke, VPR  fans quickly turned against Sandoval, which also meant Schwartz catching some serious heat. Not only was he scolded for actually defending Sandoval throughout his mess, but their bar was hit with retaliation.

It began with angry fans leaving negative reviews for the business. Then, people stopped going and supporting it all together. At one point Schwartz estimated that the scandal cost them a whopping 80% of their business. By December 2024, it closed its doors for the final time. One would think that this business failure would make Schwartz never speak to Sandoval again. But, judging by his recent update on their friendship, it might’ve been what saved it.

Schwartz was a recent guest on Watch What Happens Live. It was during the segment that Andy Cohen asked him how things were with Sandoval, and Tom gave quite the shocking answer.

“I think we are in a better place now. I was very resentful for a long time, but I’ve let that go and I feel like we’re in a good place again,” he explained in the episode.

Now that they are no longer business partners, and Schwartz has no plans of ever revisiting that venture, he doesn’t have to financially suffer from being friends with Sandoval. It looks like the bros are getting back together. Will it last? Hopefully longer than their bar did.
