This circus started when Rachel filed a lawsuit against both Sandoval and Ariana Madix, accusing them of distributing revenge porn. According to her, she suffered an invasion of privacy when Ariana stumbled across intimate videos on her boyfriend’s cellphone. That moment forever changed the trajectory of Pumps Rules, and a brave lawyer named Colin Hardacre is getting into the middle of it.
Tom Sandoval is lawyering up … again
The update on Tom’s latest legal move was first reported by In Touch. In newly filed documents, Tom notified the court that he had hired a different lawyer to represent him in the case, weeks after parting ways with his previous legal team.

This marks the third lawyer that Tom has cycled through since Rachel filed this lawsuit, which Ariana has called an “abuse of the legal system.” The more time that passes, the more ridiculous the whole thing seems.
Tom’s first lawyer happened to be the brother of Rachel’s lawyer. Although the brothers claimed there wasn’t a conflict of interest, Tom wound up firing him when he made the shocking decision to file a suit against Ariana. Thankfully, that was dropped alongside the lawyer.
We’re not exactly sure why the second lawyer parted ways with Tom, but we’re hopeful that the third time’s a charm. Rachel and her legal team show no sign of backing down, and clearly, Tom can’t do this on his own. The scorned lovers have a court date scheduled for November 3, 2025.
