Tom Brady’s Perspective Of Aaron Rodgers’ Leadership Should Encourage Jets Fans

Tom Brady is a believer in Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets this season.

Speaking about his old AFC East rivals during a recent interview, the future Hall of Fame quarterback said he believes it’ll be an “exciting” year for Gang Green and Aaron Rodgers.

“I obviously never went against Aaron but I admired him so much for how he played,” Brady said while appearing on Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson’s live podcast at FanaticsFest over the weekend.

“I’m really excited for what he’s about to undertake here shortly going into the season. I think you have those injuries, they put a lot of things into perspective for you when you have them, and I want to see the fire that he’s got when he goes out there on the field. And how he [chooses] to lead the team this year. So it’s going to be an exciting year for the Jets fans.”

Brady mentioning Rodgers’ leadership style is certainly noteworthy, as that’s been an element of his game that’s come under major scrutiny in recent years, particularly since being traded to New York.

Rodgers and the Jets will certainly have the chance to prove they’re a serious contender as soon as the 2024 season kicks off, as they’ll be taking on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in a nationally televised Monday Night Football matchup during Week 1.

If Rodgers, who is now 40 years old, is able to lead Gang Green to the postseason, he’ll help the franchise break a playoff drought that began in 2010, which is now the longest playoff drought in American professional sports — a truly gnarly stain on the franchise’s reputation.

While having the greatest quarterback of all time believe in them is certainly positive, Jets fans will surely be taking a “believe it when they see it” approach after having the 2023 season ripped away from them in just four snaps.s
