Tom Brady keeping a close eye on Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback

Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady made an appearance at the team's training camp practice on Friday, and had a close eye on rookie quarterback Cam Miller.

According to Nick Walters of Channel 13 News Las Vegas, Brady was seen talking to Miller at practice on Friday and also watched the sixth-round rookie signal-caller throughout the day.

"Raiders minority owner Tom Brady reportedly endorsed two-time FCS national champ, NDSU QB Cam Miller as a 6th-round pick this past draft," Walters wrote on X. "Brady spent time with the rookie at training camp Friday."

Brady wasn't very involved in decision-making for the Raiders during the 2025 NFL Draft in April. However, the Hall of Fame quarterback did play a role in the selection of Miller in Round 6, per The Athletic's Dan Pompei

"During the draft, Brady stayed away but was in constant communication and was on board with the selection of quarterback Cam Miller in the sixth round," Pompei wrote.

“He [Brady] liked the way he [Miller] threw it, his technique, throwing from the ground up and his motion,” Raiders general manager John Spytek said. “And he thought he had the potential to improve.”

Miller won two FCS championships during his time at North Dakota State in college, and tossed 33 touchdowns to just four interceptions for the Bison in 2024. He is also a dynamic runner who rushed for over 500 yards and ten touchdowns in three straight seasons.

The 24-year-old quarterback is slated to be the No.3 quarterback on Las Vegas' depth chart behind Geno Smith and Aidan O'Connell. However, Miller's potential as a dual-threat signal-caller should keep him on the roster, and it looks like Brady also has high hopes for him.
