Three Packers Players Are 'Questionable' For Friday Night's Game

The Green Bay Packers have less time than most NFL teams to prepare for Week 1.

Green Bay begins its 2024 season on Friday for the league's first-ever matchup in Brazil. Entering the year as a trendy pick to win the NFC, the burgeoning squad will look to start that quest with a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Packers listed six players on their latest injury report, and three are questionable to play in São Paulo. Tight end Tucker Kraft (back) and running backs MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) and Emmanuel Wilson (hip) were limited participants in Thursday's practice.

Wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hand), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hip), and cornerback Carrington Valentine (hamstring) are also on Thursday's injury report as full practice participants. All three should be on track to play.

Additionally, defensive lineman Arron Mosby won't travel to Brazil due to a personal matter.

Green Bay is particularly in danger of opening the season short-handed at running back. AJ Dillon went on the injured reserve with a season-ending neck injury, leaving Lloyd and Wilson to vie for second-string duties behind Josh Jacobs.

Lloyd missed Tuesday's practice, but Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said the planned off day wasn't due to a setback in his recovery. If healthy, the third-round pick could carve out a meaningful role behind Jacobs after averaging 7.1 yards per carry at USC last season.

As an undrafted rookie, Wilson turned 18 touches into 108 scrimmage yards last season. He then received a career-high eight carries in Green Bay's first-round playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Kraft began his NFL career by securing 31 of 40 targets for 355 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie. The No. 78 pick out of South Dakota State saw an expanded role late in the season before finding the end zone in a second-round loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
