This embarrassing Daniel Jones stat makes the Giants' SNF loss 651 times worse

What is it with the NY Giants and the offense playing so poorly at home? In the two wins this season, both on the road, the G-Men have moved the chains, gotten the passing/running game going and put points on the board. Once they set foot at MetLife Stadium, however, the Giants struggle.

It goes without saying, but quarterback Daniel Jones has also looked pretty sluggish at home as well. Such was the case in the Sunday Night Football loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. Jones tossed for 205 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.

Plain and simple, his play was not good enough to power Big Blue to a victory over a team as talented as the Bengals. With NY losing 17-7 and Jones not playing at a high level, things were only made worse with everyone being reminded that Danny Dimes hasn't thrown a touchdown at home since 2022 - that's right, it has been 651 days since he tossed for a score in East Rutherford. How?

Cincinnati has had one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season, yet the Giants were only able to score seven points? It's a tough pill to swallow. After the loss, Brian Daboll did his best to defend Jones, saying to put the loss and rough play from the offense on him.

It's nice to see Daboll stick up for his quarterback, but even Jones himself knows he wasn't good enough. While speaking to the media, the veteran quarterback said he felt the offense had progressed in recent weeks, but, "we obviously didn't do that today."

Won't argue with that. When Jones is on his game and playing with confidence, you can tell how much better the offense looks. However, when he hesitates or second-guesses himself, everything goes south. The fact that he struggles at MetLife is a problem. Him being 1-14 in primetime and not throwing a TD in New Jersey in more than 650 days feels made up. Unfortunately, it's the sad reality Jones and the Giants currently live in.
