Three Los Angeles Rams players, Matthew Stafford, Kyren Williams, and Cooper Kupp are positioned to make big moves up the team’s individual career stat leaderboards. Another is Tyler Higbee, and his ascent depends on return from a major injury.
Already charted in the NFL’s all-time Top 10 career numbers. Stafford, after 12 years with the Detroit Lions and now in his fourth season in L.A., is ready to reach for #1 quarterback status on two NFL teams.
Kyren Williams is looking up at a long list ahead of him, but can to build on a breakout season. Another stellar season and he’ll jump way up the ranks, but it might not come easy, he’ll have to fight off nagging injuries and competition from a touted rookie.
Needing to prove that injuries have not put him in the twilight of his career at an early stage, Kupp needs to stack up full-season stats if he’s to seriously challenge as the Rams all-time leading receiver. It won’t be easy to catch the two Hall of Famer’s (that’s right, two, Torry Holt’s exclusion is unacceptable).
Tyler Higbee is already the Rams most productive tight end. He’s been beaten up his whole career and now has to come back from a major knee injury. His grit will get him into L.A. all-time Top 10 and if can come back for a couple more seasons, Top 5 is a strong possibility.
Passing- Matthew Stafford
Attempts
At #9 with 1425, Staff should easily pass past-Rams greats Bob Waterfield, Kurt Warner, and Norm Van Brocklin (Sam Bradford, too) into #5. Breaking into the Top 3 will take him fully playing out his contract through 2026, maybe more.
- Roman Gabriel- 3313 (1962-1972)
- Jim Everett- 3277 (1986-1993)
- Marc Bulger- 3171 (2001-2010)
- Jared Goff- 2421 (2016-2021)
- Norm Van Brocklin- 1897 (1949-1957)

- Bob Waterfield- 1617 (1945-1952)
- Matthew Stafford- 1425 (2021-2023)
Completions
It will only take 200 to move Stafford from #8 (936) into Kurt Warner’s #5 position (1121). Even a 2024 Herculean effort still leaves him short of #4 Jared Goff, but #1 is in range with three strong seasons.

- Roman Gabriel- 1705
- Jared Goff- 1536
- Kurt Warner- 1121
- Sam Bradford-
- Norm Van Brocklin- 1011
- Matthew Stafford- 936
Yards
A best-ever season would bump him into Van Brocklin’s #5 spot, but realistically, moving from #9 (10,938) to #6 and supplanting Warner (14,447) is in the cards. Again, it would take three strong season’s to grab the top spot.

- Bob Waterfield- 11,849
- Sam Bradford- 11,065
- Matthew Stafford- 10,938
Touchdowns
Sitting at #8, Stafford (75) moving into Jared Goff’s (107) #5 position is a realistic forecast. Averaging 30 per season over three (life of his contract), puts him a #1.

Rushing- Kyren Williams
Attempts
Currently #38 (263) and it’s within William’s grasp to bump Charles White (504) out of the Top 20, although he’s more likely to pass 2023 teammate Darell Henderson (442) for #23 and #22 Dick Hoerner (450).

Yards
Williams could easily rise up into the Top 20 and pass John Cappalletti’s 2246 for #18. Currently sitting at #33 with 1283, another 1000 yard year boosts him, past Greg Bell into #17.

Touchdowns
It’s within reason to forecast Williams scoring 10 times and upping his career total to 22. This would move him from a tie for 19th with Tony Baker, Malcom Brown, and Lawrence Phillips and past Joe Marconi’s into #15.

Receiving- Cooper Kupp and Tyler Higbee
Receptions
#4 Kupp (567) should easily pass #3 Henry Ellard (593), but it will take four consecutive 100 catch seasons to challenge the top two, Torry Holt (869) and Issac Bruce (942). Higbee’s (353) already the Rams top receiving tight end and at #9 overall, it depends on his recovery from knee surgery to get the 15 catches needed to pass Robert Woods (367) for #8.
- Issac Bruce- 942 (1994-2007)
- Torry Holt- 869 (1999-2008)
- Henry Ellard- 593 (1983-1993)

- Steven Jackson- 407 (2004-2012)
- Tom Fears- 400 (1948-1956)
- Robert Woods- 367 (2017-2022)
- Tyler Higbee- 353 (2016-2023)
Yards
Locked behind the big three of Ellard (9761), Holt (12,660), and Bruce (14,109), Kupp (7066) will need at least two more big seasons to forge forward. #14 Higbee (3602) only needs 10 yards to move up one spot past Bob Boyd (3611), but likely won’t get on the field soon enough to challenge anyone else.
- Issac Bruce- 14109

- Marshall Faulk- 4971
- Bob Boyd- 3611 (1950-1951, 1953-1957)
- Tyler Higbee- 3602
Touchdowns
With 51, Kupp should easily pass #3 Elroy Hirsch (53). Higbee (22) checks in at #15 and only one behind Robert Woods. Health willing, he has good chance to break into the Top 10 over the next couple of years.

- Robert Woods-23
- Tyler Higbee- 22
Any others?
The Rams have had some good punters over their history, so second-year Ethan Evans has a long way to go to challenge the Big 3 of Johnny Hekker, Donnie Jones, and Dale Hatcher. He should fly well up the boards on his rookie contract alone.
Even though he’s retired, it’s too hard to pass up a chance to shout out Aaron Donald, who took his 111 sacks with him. #29t Michael Hecht (10.5) is the Rams active leader, rookie upstart Kobie Turner (9) is at #31t, while another rookie Byron Young (8) is right behind at #33t.
Ending with esoterica
Right tackle Rob Havenstein has recovered 9 fumbles over his career and is knocking on the door of the Top 10 in that category.
