The Valley’s Scheana Shay Claims Jesse Lally Chose Party Over Helping Michelle With Their Kid After Her Mom’s Death as She Suggests He’s Worse Than Jax

As Jesse’s messy split from his estranged wife Michelle Saniei, 36, continues to play out on the second season of The Valley, Scheana, 40, shed some light on who she believes Jesse, 45, is to his core, comparing him to their controversial co-star, Jax Taylor, 45, as she looked back on moment that followed the death of Michelle’s mom.

“Right after [her mom] passed away, it was Election Day, and Michelle just really needed one day to grieve,” Scheana recalled on SiriusXM Radio‘s Reality Checked With Kiki Monique. “It was her day with Isabella, and she asked Jesse, ‘Look, I know it’s my day, but I just need a day to grieve by myself. Can you please take her daughter? She just lost her grandma, but can you just take her today?’”

While Michelle had gone to Jesse during a trying time, opening up about her hardship and attempting to get his help amid her heartache, Scheana said she was shot down.

“He had an election party to go to in Orange County and said, ‘No,’” she shared.

Although many thought it was outlandish when Michelle compared her split from Jesse to Brittany Cartwright‘s split from Jax (which she has since admitted to regretting), Scheana said she understood where her castmate was coming from.

“The amount that I’ve seen her have to deal with, the messages I’ve seen, the emails I’ve seen, I understand why she said, ‘You know, I might have it worse than Brittany,’” Scheana noted. “Obviously, we’ve followed this couple for 10 years on the show. Everyone knows how bad Jax is. You don’t know how bad Jesse is because you’re just seeing him put on his charming face.”

“You just don’t know who he actually is at his core. I’ve seen it and, yeah, I don’t like what I see,” she concluded.
