The Valley’s Jason Caperna Dragged Into Lala Kent’s Feud With Brittany Cartwright

There’s a lot more intersectionality going on between the Vanderpump Rules cast and that of The Valley cast. There was talk about Lala Kent joining the VPR spinoff for its second season. But given that the cast seemingly would prefer to pass on her, one could imagine Lala would reconsider that option.

There’s also Lala’s surprise feud with VPR alum Brittany Cartwright. The veteran Bravolebrity revealed conflict with her former friend earlier this month after she used Brittany and estranged husband Jax Taylor’s babysitter while they were in Kentucky.

Lala described a “moment of beefing” with Brittany

On Monday, June 10, Lala revealed which of The Valley cast members played a pivotal role in the drama. The reality TV star was on the Two T’s in a Pod podcast, hosted by Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp.

“Actually, it was Jason Caperna from The Valley that took a picture of the babysitter at the gender reveal,” she recalled. “And [he] sent it to Jax [Taylor]. We’re gonna have this nanny at our next event to watch our baby.”

“We had a moment of beefing over a babysitter but we could have talked about the babysitter not on the day of my gender reveal,” Lala explained that Brittany called her to hash it out. “It was [the] wrong time. Don’t talk to me about a f—king babysitter today.”

Lala, who is expecting another baby via IUI, rejected Brittany’s attempts at making drama during her gender reveal party. It was neither the time nor the place, she said.

When asked if she thought Brittany sounded drunk during the call, the sober reality TV star answered, “I assume so. It was probably 7 o’clock in Kentucky, so I assume. And [her and Jax’s son] Cruz was also in Kentucky with her. So I was like, ‘F—k off, please.’ I went in on her.”

Lala is “taking a breather” from her former castmate

Earlier in May, Lala revealed the extent of her feud with Brittany during the VPR reunion.

“Brittany acted so out of pocket on the day of my gender reveal. She reached out to my mother and was so f–king out of pocket,” Lala explained. “Do not text my mother the day that I find out that we’re having a baby girl and say, ‘Did you really hire our nanny without our permission?’”

Another issue of contention was Brittany’s choice of words.

“People like to get real Hollywood quickly and call babysitters nannies. Babysitter and nanny? Very different things. Had it not been Brittany, my mom would have slapped this ho the next time she saw her. My 63-year-old f–king mom is being questioned by Kentucky muffin. Are you joking?” Lala said on the podcast.

Meanwhile, Brittany expressed shock during her own podcast, suggesting that she and Lala had patched things up since then.

But her former co-star is having none of the truce-talk. Lala told Teddi and Tamra that she is “taking a breather” from Brittany.

“She should have never done that. It was completely inappropriate,” Lala stated. “I have made this very clear. Like I’ve always said when there’s someone who is not talking to a lot of people, you usually have to look in the mirror and say, is it me? And it’s definitely me. I’m changing. I’m wanting different things.” Similarly, many fans are wanting Lala off their televisions.

The Valley is currently streaming on Peacock.
