The New York Giants will have the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. As for the Tennessee Titans, they will have the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

It is a total mystery what the top teams of the 2025 NFL Draft will do. It is not a mystery that both New York and Tennessee will need quarterbacks, but will they draft them in the first round? Both teams are not a quarterback away from contending and both teams need other pieces. It appears as if Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward will be the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

CBS Sportswriter Predicts That the New York Giants Will Trade Up With the Tennessee Titans

CBS sports writer Kyle Stackpole created his latest mock draft for 2025. He has the Titans trading back to three from number one with the Giants. With that number one pick for New York, he has them selecting quarterback Cam Ward. Stackpole said,

“The reports are that the Titans like Cam Ward, but they’ll probably like what the desperate Giants will offer them more. After whiffing in free agency, New York trades up to draft its franchise quarterback.”

If Tennessee likes him, it would be hard for the Titans to pass up on him unless the Giants get desperate and offer the farm for the number one pick. Ward last season with the Hurricanes completed 67.2% of his passes for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Titans Draft Travis Hunter Trading Back

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis (8) is stopped by Houston Texans linebacker Neville Hewitt (43) during the fourth quarter at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025.

With Tennessee going from one to three, Stackpole would have Tennessee drafting Travis Hunter from the Colorado Buffaloes over Shedeur Sanders. Stackpole said,

“The Titans are more than a quarterback away, so they move back two spots, collect extra draft capital and take a player who can help them on both sides of the ball.”

If the Tennessee Titans are going to not get a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, it is a bold move for them to stick with Will Levis for next season. The odds are that the Tennessee Titans are going to stay number one and select Cam Ward. There is a chance that the New York Giants can still draft Shedeur Sanders at number three because the Cleveland Browns will most likely go with Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter instead also.
