The Seahawks' 2025 rookie class is already making a strong first impression on head coach Mike MacDonald

The Seattle Seahawks were able to add multiple intriguing rookies in the 2025 NFL Draft.

And many have already started to turn heads throughout rookie minicamp and OTAs. One of which is head coach Mike Macdonald, even if he doesn't want them to know that yet.

During a radio spot on "The Mike Macdonald Show", the coach shared his early thoughts on the team's rookie class. And it seems pretty evident that they have made a strong first impression. "Don't tell them this, but I love our rookies" is how he began. He highlighted their work ethic, practice habits, and love for football.

This class has the potential to make a significant impact on the Seahawks this season and beyond, with key players such as Grey Zabel, Nick Emmanwori, and Jalen Milroe. Zabel and Emmanwori have a very good chance at being day one starters in Seattle. While the plan with a player like Milroe will be to learn from the sidelines early, and develop into a potential future starting QB for the franchise. And if they land that in a third-round pick, there will be people having deja vu in Seattle (Russell Wilson).

The spring schedule is almost over, and training camp is around the corner. A strong start to the offseason can be big for any rookie as they look to get off to a hot start in training camp. Roster spots are obviously up for grabs, but starting jobs are won and lost in training camp. Only time will tell if the work they've put in in OTAs will pay dividends later. But these are the type of quotes you want to hear from your head coach if you are a rookie in the NFL. Now the key is to use this as motivation to keep it up and look to catch his attention even more.
