The NFL did the Seattle Seahawks a huge favor with their 2025 schedule that multiple teams in the league are probably jealous of

After the schedule release, the first things fans look for tend to be the Week 1 matchup, the home opener, and, of course, how many prime time games the team got. The team's bye week isn't typically high on that list, but the Seahawks lucked out this year, and I'm sure a lot of teams around the league are jealous.

Seahawks land one of the best bye weeks possible

The Seahawks have been assigned a Week eight bye week. If you ask just about any player in the league, they typically want their bye to be as close to the middle of the year as possible. So, landing a bye sometime between Weeks 7 and 10 is considered ideal.

Landing this helps the Seahawks split their season almost in half. They have seven games before the bye, and will have ten games after. It's also nice that four of the Seahawks' six NFC West divisional games come after the bye, two of which come almost immediately after it. There are teams this season with a bye as early as Week 5 and as late as Week 14. This will be the Seahawks' second straight year where their bye falls near the middle of the season after a Week 10 bye in 2024. They did get an awful Week 5 bye in 2023, though, so they honestly deserve a good bye in back-to-back years.
