Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell is a man of many words. He’s one of those guys that could talk his way around any question media throws his way. But he has never been through an interview quite like the one that was posted on Sunday morning.
Barstool Sports personality Caleb Pressley is a former walk-on quarterback at the University of North Carolina. Now, he’s the host of one of Barstool’s most popular viral social media shows, “Sundae Conversations”.
Episodes are short (4-5 minutes). They can be found on whichever social media app you prefer (YouTube, Tik Tok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc). And today’s new drop featured KOC, who was put through what had to be one of the most uncomfortable interviews of his coaching career.

That’s what Pressley is known for, and he is good at it. His on-screen co-host, Glenny Balls — whose only job is to sit within the wide-angle camera shot and eat an ice cream sundae (duh) — is wearing a full Vikings mascot uniform, blonde hair and all.
Pressley starts the conversation by talking about O’Connell’s age (39), before spinning the question into an accusation that he is against female coaches in the NFL. (Just in case you haven’t figured it out yet, “Sundae Conversations” is satire content).
Pressley: “Aren’t older coaches wiser?”
KOC: “I think it’s right coach, right fit. Could be a young coach, could be an old coach…”
Pressley: “Well you’re on record saying ‘it doesn’t matter if it’s a young man or an old man, as long as it’s not a wo-man..”
KOC: “Yeah, I don’t believe that.”
Pressley: “Then why did you say it?”
KOC: “I think there’s some great female coaches in our league already.”
Pressley: “You think they can manage a good drive?
KOC: “I think they can coach football at a high level.”
Pressley: “But I asked about the drive…”
KOC: “Yeah, I know you did.”
Pressley: “And I noticed you didn’t answer it.”
KOC: “I did answer it.
Pressley: “You do a lot of coach speak, you know what that is?”
KOC: “I’m familiar with it.
Pressley: “Why do you do so much coach speak?”
KOC: “I’m a coach.”
Pressley: “But a lot of the stuff you say, you’re just really rambling. It doesn’t really mean anything.”
KOC: “Yeah, I’m used to answering questions I maybe don’t necessarily want to answer, but I answer it anyway.”

To that, of course, KOC responds that he’s “good there”, on the money and women, and confirmed he does love Minnesota. Phew, we dodged a bullet there. But then, the next conversation topic was brought to light by fellow NFL coach and good friend of Kevin O’Connell, Brandon Staley, assistant head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.
It was short, sweet and eye-opening: “Kevin O’Connell chokes his chicken so hard, he throws up.” That, KOC said, that is a true story. I will let him tell it, though…
“That, believe it or not, would be accurate. One time, right in front of Brandon, I had a chicken sandwich, and I legitimately choked in the back seat of the car, and I looked to him for help in the moment. He looked at me, and took another bite of his chicken sandwich, and moved on.”

KOC reiterates many times that he loves his wife (who is not latin) very much, and seems confused as to why Caleb continues to go there. Like he isn’t in on the inside joke.
