The Jet Press Podcast: Drafting an all-time NY Jets defense, future QB draft talk

In the latest episode of The Jet Press Podcast, Justin Fried and Mile Luciano draft their all-time NY Jets defenses, discuss the Jets being ranked as Pro Football Focus's No. 1 defense, and provide a brief preview of the 2025 quarterback draft class.

The show started with a discussion about Pro Football Focus recently ranking the Jets as the No. 1 defense in the NFL. Not only that, but PFF insisted that the Jets have the best defensive line, linebacker corps, and secondary in the league.

Darrelle Revis

Yes, this means that PFF believes the Jets have the best position group in all three facets of the defense. Justin and Mike discuss the validity behind this claim and if any other teams have a case.

The conversation then shifted to a discussion about the future, particularly as it pertains to the 2025 NFL Draft. ESPN's Matt Miller has the Jets selecting Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard in his early 2025 mock.

Would the Jets seriously consider drafting a quarterback in the first round next year? Which quarterbacks could be on their radar? All of that was discussed in detail.

Finally, we continued our all-time Jets draft from a week ago, this time focusing on the defensive side of the ball. Justin and Mike took turns drafting the best defensive players in franchise history.

From Darrelle Revis and Sauce Gardner to Joe Klecko and Quinnen Williams, all of the best defensive players in Jets history were recognized. Which one of us finished with the better team? Let us know!
