‘The Hit Wasn’t Dirty’: NFL Fans Claim League is ‘Rigged’ for Kansas City Chiefs After Steelers Tight End Backs Derwin James

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers game this Sunday has been under the spotlight all week following the suspension of safety Derwin James. The Chargers superstar was suspended for the game following what the league is calling a ‘dirty hit’ on Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth in last week’s matchup. James appealed the punishment, but it was upheld, and the latest news on the appeal has NFL fans even more furious than they originally were.

News broke that the tight end backed the Chargers’ safety in the appeal call, saying that the hit on him was not dirty. Despite this, the suspension still stands on James, and NFL fans are not happy about it. When the suspension was first announced, fans claimed that the league was ‘rigging’ the game for the Chiefs. Now that word is out that Freiermuth backed the safety’s appeal, there is an uproar in the NFL world.Ezoic

Fans Come To James’ Defense

Fans have been claiming that the league is rigged for Kansas City for quite some time, and it seems like more and more people are coming up with this same reasoning. While these claims seem to be a far stretch, it does feel strange that the suspension was upheld even after the tight end who received the ‘dirty hit’ said that it wasn’t.

Do you think that the suspension should have been overturned, and do you believe that the league tries to favor the Chiefs?
