The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner has been trying to improve his reputation ever since bombshell accusations about his dating history and his divorce from Theresa Nist ruined it, and his best chance to do this is by joining Dancing With The Stars season 33. Gerry was the hero of The Golden Bachelor, but that changed because of allegations that he'd lived with a woman before the show, although he was portrayed as a widower who hadn't dated after his wife's sudden passing six years earlier. This, combined with his divorce from Theresa after just three months, turned Gerry into a villain.
Gerry is rumored to be in the cast of DWTS season 33.
Now Parade reports that Gerry is rumored to be in the cast of DWTS season 33. His name was mentioned along with David and Victoria Beckham, Jason Kelce, Tom Sandoval, Kelly Ripa, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, Sutton Stracke, Parvati Shallow, Cris Judd, Casper Smart, Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning, and Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. In addition, The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos is rumored to be in the cast. She got her start on Gerry's Golden Bachelor season, and they had a strong connection. However, she had to leave the show early to deal with a family emergency.
Should Gerry Turner Or Another Golden Bachelor Star Compete On DWTS?
Gerry's Real Personality Could Shine Through
Gerry should definitely join DWTS. Because the reality dance competition is a live show, it's nearly impossible for the producers to manipulate things the way that those of the Bachelor franchise do. Therefore, Gerry's real personality would shine through. It would also be wonderful to see Joan or any of the other Golden ladies join the show, including Theresa, Leslie Fhima (who's a dancer), Sandra Mason, Kathy Swarts, Susan Noles, or Faith Martin (who once won a local version of DWTS).
Gerry needs a reset, and DWTS would be the perfect way for him to redeem himself. The show requires contestants to show a tremendous amount of talent, personality, and drive, which then helps the audience to fall in love with them. Gerry could prove that his charming personality wasn't fake, and that he really is the man that The Golden Bachelor producers led viewers to believe that he was.
On DWTS, Gerry and the Golden women would once again represent the older generation, and show that they're still vibrant and thriving, but this time in a different way. The show asks a lot of its contestants, but the reward is worth it. Gerry should join DWTS in order to improve his reputation with his fans and try to win back their hearts. If he does, it's highly possible that he could come out of it smelling like a rose.
