The Golden Bachelorette: What We Know About Chock Chapple's First Wife

The Golden Bachelorette contestant Chock Chapple was married once, but what do we know about his ex-wife? Chock, a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas, was one of the 24 older single men who traveled to the Bachelor mansion from all over the country for a chance to date Joan Vassos. 61-year-old Joan, a private school administrator from Maryland, made her television debut during The Golden Bachelor, where she dated 72-year-old Gerry Turner.

Joan left The Golden Bachelor early in the season, but she was later cast as the first female lead of the Bachelor spin-off that centered on the love lives of senior citizens. On night one of the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette, Joan met her 24 single Golden men, including Chock. Joan was a widower and Chock had lost a fiancé, so they connected over the shared loss. Long before Chock's fiancé passed away, Chock was married to his first wife.

Chock's Relationship With Heather Chapple

Long before Chock joined the cast of The Golden Bachelorette, he was married to Heather Chapple, with whom he had two children, for 12 years. During a recent episode, Joan visited Chock's hometown and met his two teen-aged children, Tyler and Taylor Chapple.

Though Chock's marriage to Heather ended in divorce, it appears to have ended amicably. According to Chock, he and Heather have always co-parented their children without problems, and are on friendly terms with one another. Being on good terms with his ex says a lot about Chock's character.
