Joan Vassos’ journey as the first lead for “The Golden Bachelorette” begins airing on ABC on September 18. Ahead of the premiere, spoilers regarding her final pick have emerged.
Does Vassos find love as “The Golden Bachelorette”?
Joan Vassos Picks Chock Chapple According to Reality Steve’s Updated Spoilers
On August 27, podcaster and blogger Reality Steve shared “The Golden Bachelorette” spoilers on Vassos’ season. He revealed her hometown date recipients on his Instagram page, along with the identity of the man he said received her final rose.
However, just before the premiere on September 18, Reality Steve issued a major change to his spoilers.
Reality Steve reported that the four men Vassos had hometown dates with were Chock Chapple, Guy Gansert, Jordan Heller, and Pascal Ibgui.
He shared that Vassos eliminated Heller after their hometown date. Initially, he reported she then eliminated Chapple at the point of the overnight Fantasy Suite dates and that Gansert was Vassos’ final pick.
However, Reality Steve’s new spoilers indicate he had that information incorrect. While he still says Heller was eliminated after the hometown dates, Reality Steve now says that Chapple, rather than Gansert, received Vassos’ final rose.
Reality Steve revealed that he heard that Ibgui eliminated himself. Apparently, Ibgui decided he wasn’t in love with Vassos and felt it best to leave. Reality Steve indicates he’s not sure exactly when Ibgui does that.
Originally, Reality Steve indicated Ibgui and Gansert were Vassos’ final two men. In his updated spoilers for “The Golden Bachelorette,” he noted he wasn’t sure if Ibgui eliminated himself at the final three or the final two.
What he seems confident about now, however, is that it’s Chapple who receives Vassos’ final rose, not Gansert.
As far as an engagement, Reality Steve has said he is not sure whether or not Vassos got engaged.
Chapple Is From Wichita, Kansas
In August, the Witchita Eagle shared some background on Chapple. He is an insurance executive who started his own company in 2020. Chapple was engaged to a woman named Kathy White-Goree in the past, but she died in 2022 after a battle with brain cancer.
Vassos lost her husband in 2021 to pancreatic cancer.
Chapple’s LinkedIn page indicates he is originally from the Kansas town of Garden Plain. However, he has been a resident of Wichita for three decades.
He graduated from Kansas State University and earned degrees in general business administration and labor relations.
His family has ties to the insurance industry that go back decades, as Chapple noted both his father and grandfather worked in the business as well.
Before launching Insurance Services Group, LLC in January 2020, Chapple worked for CIG Insurance for 15 years. He also has 18 years of experience with IMA Financial Group.
Chapple’s Instagram page indicates he likes to hit the gym in the mornings and a recent post reveals he has lost 52 pounds since joining the facility where he works out.
He has two kids, a son named Tyler and a daughter named Taylor. Chapple also has a dog he seemingly teases as his “favorite child.”
As People noted in June, Vassos says she will not move for anyone after “The Golden Bachelorette.” She lives in Maryland and is adamant about remaining near her grown kids and young grandkids.
At the same time, she anticipates any man she falls for may feel the same way about staying near his family.
Vassos explained she was content to maintain a long-distance relationship for some time rather than expect anyone to uproot their life and move across the country for her.
