The Golden Bachelorette's Pascal Ibgui Demands This Major Change If He Joins The Golden Bachelor After Breaking Joan Vassos' Heart

The Golden Bachelorette's Pascal Ibgui admitted that producers would have to make a major change to The Golden Bachelor season 2 if they offered him the lead role. When The Golden Bachelorette season 1 first premiered, Joan Vassos was introduced to 24 suitors. In just the first few weeks, more than half of the men were sent home. Pascal made it all the way to the final 3, but he decided to quit The Golden Bachelorette because he wasn't falling in love with Joan, so he left instead of giving her false hope.

The Golden Bachelorette's Pascal Ibgui Demands This Major Change If He Joins The Golden Bachelor After Breaking Joan Vassos' Heart

The Golden Bachelorette 's Pascal Ibgui made a shocking admission about what it would take for him to be the next Golden Bachelor star.

Ever since his unexpected exit, Pascal has been speaking out about various Golden Bachelorette-related topics. While being interviewed by Us Weeklyhe made a shocking admission about what it would take to get him to join The Golden Bachelor as the next lead if ABC sent him an offer. He admitted, "They will have to lower the age. The age [has] got to be lower. Yes, I'm old, but I don't go out with a 72-year-old woman."

Pascal went on to say that he has "a lot of time" to invest in starring on The Golden Bachelor since he's "semi-retired." However, before definitively agreeing to a hypothetical offer in the future, he would have to "see how much involvement there is into it." There are plenty of other Golden Bachelorette men who are eager to accept the role, according to Pascal, who added, "I know some of them are dying to be the Bachelor. I mean, I'm dying for it. If I know what time of commitment...and if it fits my schedule, yes, why not?"

What Pascal Ibgui’s Stunning Comments About Age Mean For Golden Bachelor

Pascal Keeps Making Demands & Lashing Out At Producers

To put Pascal's comments into perspective, the Golden Bachelorette contestant is 69 years old, which means he's refusing to date a woman who's a mere three years older than him. By comparison, Joan is 61 years old, so she's clearly in the younger senior citizen age range that Pascal is looking for. Pascal's demand feeds into unappealing stereotypes about what straight men want in a partner, including age.

Part of what made The Golden Bachelor so attractive when it was first announced is the star and contestants would be more mature and less prone to some of the behavior that's seen by reality stars in their 20s and 30s. Right after his exit from The Golden Bachelorette, he lashed out at producers for not casting contestants from the same city so that they wouldn't have to deal with moving across the country. Even though he says he would consider finding love on TV again, his constant demands would probably be a big turn-off to the executives at ABC.

Joan now has two men left on the show: Chock Chapple and Guy Gansert. She will make her final decision in The Golden Bachelorette finale on November 13. Based on Pascal's comments, it sounds like Joan dodged a bullet when he left. His ageist attitude should be disqualifying when considering who to cast on any of the Bachelor shows.
