The Golden Bachelorette: Mark Anderson's New Relationship Proves He Didn't Need The Golden Bachelor Role To Find Love

The Golden Bachelorette season 1's Mark Anderson may have recently proven he doesn't need to be The Golden Bachelor because he may have found love all on his own. The 58-year-old retired Army veteran's journey started when his daughter, Kelsey Anderson, competed in The Bachelor season 20. When she took her new boyfriend, Joey Graziadei, to Louisiana for her hometown date, fans fell madly in love with her father.

Mark was cast as a contestant in The Golden Bachelorette season 1, along with 23 other single Golden men. Though hopes were high for Mark and Joan Vassos, she sent him home after a particularly awkward solo date. Mark was crushed by the elimination, but he wasn't down for long. Mark was soon spotted with Barbara Alyn Woods, a television actress known for her work on the drama series One Tree Hill. In the holiday photos, Mark, his children, and their significant others gather on a stairway in matching pajamas, and Barbara is there. Judging by this photograph, Mark and Barbara are a couple. Mark Didn't Need To Be The Golden Bachelor To Find Love

He Came Out Of His Shell

When Mark was cast in The Golden Bachelorette season 1, he seemed awkward and uncomfortable around Joan. Though he seemed to like Joan, the widower was out of practice and not on his game. Clearly, Mark's game had improved since his elimination and didn't need the show. It's possible he didn't thrive in a reality TV show environment. The single father of five was able to find love all on his own, and ABC will have to cast someone else to lead The Golden Bachelor season 2.
