Nick continued to eavesdrop as Ridge and Taylor celebrated their engagement at Il Giardino. "You amaze me every day," Ridge said. "We're amazing together," Taylor concurred.
Ridge noted that Taylor doing the proposing was a different change of pace. "Listen, I'm a modern woman going after what I want, and all I want is you," she said. They took their celebration back home, which meant Nick's free show was over.
"I don't think I've ever had a better lunch," Taylor gushed. "I wonder how your dad's gonna feel about this engagement. I didn't think to ask his permission." Ridge didn't think that Eric would object, but Taylor wasn't so sure. After all, Eric has always had a soft spot in his heart for Brooke.
"He loves you. He's always loved you because you're smart. You're courageous, beautiful. What he wants really is for me to be happy," Ridge assured Taylor. "I don't want you to doubt how much you mean to me."
Taylor said she didn't doubt Ridge's love, but they had been through so much over the years. "We've had certain forces working to keep us apart," Taylor said. Still, she couldn't wait to tell Steffy and Thomas about the engagement. "Our family finally feels complete. Even Phoebe. I can see her with a huge smile on her face."
In Eric's office, Brooke heaped praise on Hope. She was happy to be back at Forrester Creations, but still wished that Hope For The Future would be reinstated. Brooke promised to talk to Ridge about resurrecting it. "Is that cause you're trying to resurrect your relationship with him?" Hope asked.
Brooke went into a dream state and remembered the cameras at the Keyhole of Destiny in Rome. Hope brought her back to reality. "I love you and I don't want you to get hurt, but I have to admit that I think you deserve better," Hope said.
"Somebody else said that to me recently. Someone you knew very well growing up. Nick Marone," Brooke said. Hope wondered how long Nick would be in Los Angeles, but Brooke wasn't sure. Hope was excited that Nick was back.
"Maybe Nick is exactly what you need right now," Hope said. "He did make me feel special and loved," Brooke admitted. "But my heart is still with Ridge. He is my destiny, and we will be together someday," she insisted.
Just then, Nick walked in. Hope excitedly ran into his arms. "We actually were just talking about you," Hope said. "I am so glad you're back in Los Angeles and hope you're staying for a while. I was just telling my mom a little bit of fun and a little bit of laughter is exactly what she needs, and I think you might just be the man for the job."
Nick informed Brooke and Hope that he now planned to stay in town a bit longer due to a "recent development." Hope left Brooke and Nick alone. Brooke asked what "changes" were keeping Nick in Los Angeles. "These changes affect you too, Brooke," Nick said.
Brooke wondered why Nick was being so cryptic and asked him to just say what he wanted to say, so he did. "I saw Ridge and Taylor at Il Giardino. It wasn't just lunch. Taylor pulled out a ring and proposed to him. I thought I should tell you. I didn't want you to be blindsided," Nick said.
A stunned Brooke asked what Ridge said. "He said 'yes.' Ridge and Taylor are engaged," Nick stated as Brooke looked like she was about to burst into tears.
Steffy, Electra, Finn, and Lt. Baker continued watching Will's adventures with Luna from a laptop in Steffy's living room. Electra wasn't sure that she could watch much more. Steffy worried it was too dangerous, but Baker assured them that he had backup in place.
"So, you broke up with Electra and now you want me," Luna stated as she tried to run her hands over Will's chest. "If you really want me, show me how much," Luna told Will just before kissing him.
Poor Electra had to turn away from the laptop. "He kissed her. I know it's an act, but her hands are all over him," Electra lamented. Steffy agreed that Electra should not have had to watch any of this. "He doesn't want it, but I'm really grateful he's trying to help me," Steffy said.
"You want me as much as I want you. Prove it, Will. Prove it," Luna said as Electra watched in disgust. Will did his best to convince Luna they had plenty of time to develop a relationship, so they didn't need to hop into bed so quickly. "I really want you to know I'm not just trying to use you for sex. I think we can be something more," he said.
Luna was touched when Will said he was there for her and was willing to listen. Will told her that he wouldn't judge her. After all, she had a rough childhood. That was Luna's cue to whine about how her mother was horrible and always moved them from place to place. "I'd go to school and see all the other kids. They all had family. They all had stability," she said. "I wish I could trade places and feel what it was like to have a father to love me and protect me."
Upon hearing that, Finn seemed concerned while Steffy just rolled her eyes. "Then, I found Finn and felt like this huge hole in my heart was finally filled," Luna continued. "Finding him was a miracle. It was my greatest dream come true. And now that dream keeps getting crushed over and over again by that bitch Steffy."
Luna kept going. "I know that Finn wants to have a relationship with me as his daughter. He would love me if Steffy were just out of the way. Steffy is a cruel, stuck-up bitch. She's never had to work hard for anything. She has no idea what it's like to scrape and fight for every little thing...I had nothing. All I had was a mom who was too drugged up to truly care about me. Don't I deserve everything that Steffy's been experiencing her whole life?" she asked.
The crew at the cliff house was intrigued when Luna said, "I have a plan to make sure Steffy is never a problem for me again." Finn excitedly told Chief Baker, "That's it, we got her! That's intent to harm!"
