The Bachelorette Season 21 Episode 4 Power Rankings: Who Should Go Home & Who Could Win

Now Jenn is ready to continue her journey to find love on The Bachelorette season 21. She's making history as the first-ever Asian American Bachelor franchise lead. During episode 4, Jenn sent Sam Nejad home because her feelings for him weren't as strong as his were for her. However, the most shocking moment of the episode was when her ex-boyfriend, Matthew Rossi, traveled all the way to Auckland, New Zealand to try to win her back. The episode ended with a cliffhanger before the rose ceremony. Here's who has the best chance of continuing his journey with Jenn.

1Devin Strader - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Devin Told Jenn That He's Falling For Her

Devin, a 28-year-old freight company owner from Houston, Texas, has been one of Jenn's frontrunners since The Bachelorette season 21 premiere night, despite the fact that many of his fellow contestants think that he dominates too much of Jenn's time. However, Jenn loves that Devin always puts her first and finds little ways to make her feel special. She was impressed when Devin stole her away for some one-on-one time and gelato during the first group date. Jenn doesn't mind that Devin always wants to spend so much time with her, which is a great sign.

Jenn also gave Devin the group date rose after the male stripper revue group date because he opened up to her about how uncomfortable he was during it because he's always had issues with his weight. However, it was their one-on-one date in Auckland, New Zealand that really made Jenn see how much Devin cares about her. Devin told Jenn that he was falling for her, and he wasn't afraid to say it. Jenn admitted that she'd never heard those words from anyone before. If Devin and Jenn continue on this path, it isn't hard to imagine them falling deeply in love and walking down the aisle together some day.

2Marcus Shoberg - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Marcus Has Been Opening Up To Jenn

Jenn and Marcus, a 31-year-old Army Ranger veteran, have shared a strong connection since the beginning of the season, when she gave him her first one-on-one date. After Jenn faced her fear of heights by skydiving with Marcus, they built a very strong bond. Marcus later opened up to her about the life-changing injury that he sustained as an Army Ranger.

During The Bachelorette season 21 episode 4, Marcus was injured during a group date rugby game. Although he didn't want to show any weakness in front of Jenn, she picked up on the fact that he was hurting. He became very emotional when she gave him the group date rose. Jenn's ability to make Marcus feel comfortable enough to open up to her is so beautiful to see. It's very possible that Jenn and Marcus could fall deeply in love and get engaged because they have such a strong emotional bond.

3Matthew Rossi - Jenn Tran's Ex-Boyfriend

Matthew Professed His Love For Jenn

At the end of The Bachelorette season 21 episode 4, Jenn's ex-boyfriend Matthew, a 27-year-old insurance executive from Atlanta, Georgia, arrived in Auckland, which truly shocked her. She emphasized in her confessional that Matthew wasn't the toxic ex that she'd spoken about in the past. When Matthew professed his love for Jenn, she was surprised and touched. She definitely seemed to like what he was saying. Jenn now has to make the big decision about whether she'll allow him to join her season and try to win her back.

This could go either way for Matthew. On the one hand, Jenn might decide that he's already had his chance with her, and he blew it. However, the way that she reacted to him made it seem as though she still has feelings for him. If Jenn welcomes Matthew into her group of men, there's a very good chance that they could get back together. They've known each other for three years, which is so much longer than the three weeks or so that Jenn has had to get to know the other men. Matthew might shake up the show by sweeping her off her feet.

4Spencer Conley - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Jenn Loves That Spencer Is Such A Gentleman

Spencer, a 30-year-old pet portrait entrepreneur, has been the ultimate gentleman towards Jenn since the beginning of the season. Their episode 2 one-on-one date was very sweet, as Jenn was touched by Spencer's kind gestures of buckling her seat belt in a helicopter and pouring champagne for her. She had previously said that he had "Golden Retriever energy," which she really liked. Spencer is thoughtful and considerate, which is exactly what Jenn deserves.

During their one-on-one date, Spencer opened up to Jenn about how he was engaged in the past, but his fiancée cheated on him. However, he assured her that he was ready to get engaged again. Spencer is a kindhearted and wonderful man, who would be a refreshing change for Jenn after the toxic exes that she's spoken about. Spencer and Jenn definitely have great potential to go the distance.

5Sam McKinney - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Jenn & Sam Share Strong Physical Chemistry

Sam, a 27-year-old contractor from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, made a very strong impression on Jenn during The Bachelorette season 21 premiere night. In fact, she even gave him her first impression rose, and the first and only kiss of the night. Since then, their connection has grown, and they've shared a deep physical attraction. Jenn gave Sam a one-on-one date in Auckland, but she saw a different side of him on the date. Sam wanted to participate in the Auckland Sky Tower Jump, but, because Jenn is afraid of heights, she didn't want to. He continued to pressure her into doing it, and she was upset that he wasn't resding her emotions.

However, in the end, Jenn decided to jump along with Sam. This leap of faith made their relationship stronger, but seeing that side of him might make her doubt their relationship down the line. Jenn did love that, later in the date, Sam opened up to her about his past engagement and how he was cheated on. Sam has been portrayed as a villain who's been picking fights with the other men in the season, so it'll be interesting to see if Jenn ever sees that side of him. If they can build on their physical attraction and connect on a deeper level, Sam and Jenn might end up together in the end.

6Jonathon Johnson - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Jonathon & Jenn Have Been Building A Strong Connection

Throughout The Bachelorette season 21, Jonathon, a 27-year-old creative director from Los Angeles, California, has proven that he's willing to do anything to steal Jenn's heart. He had one of the most creative limousine entrances, arriving on a stretcher wearing nothing but a hospital gown and sneakers, with his face completely bandaged. His ailment was that he was "love sick." Jonathon kept Jenn in suspense all night until she finally unwrapped his bandages and revealed his face.

During The Bachelorette season 21 episode 3, Jonathon was crowned the winner of the male stripper revue date. During episode 4, they played lacrosse with each other. Jonathon doesn't take himself too seriously, which is very refreshing among the men. Jonathon and Jenn have been building a sweet relationship so far, and he definitely seems to be there for the right reasons. With his fun-loving personality and kind demeanor, Jonathon would be a perfect match for Jenn.

7Grant Ellis - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Grant & Jenn Share Similar Goals

Grant, a 30-year-old day trader from Houston, Texas, told Jenn that he can't wait to be a husband and a father, two things that are very important to her. Grant caught Jenn's attention during The Bachelorette season 21 premiere night when they played basketball together. In episode 2, they shared their first kiss, and he earned a group date rose from her. Grant and Jenn have a lot of chemistry, but it's their similar life goals that make him perfect for Jenn.

Grant hasn't been at the center of any drama with the other men, so his focus has been completely on Jenn. He's a gentleman who is willing to do what it takes to win Jenn's heart. It's easy to see a future for Grant and Jenn filled with marriage and children, which is something that they both very much want.

8Dylan Buckor - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Dylan & Jenn Are Both In The Medical Field

Dylan, a 24-year-old medical student from Elk Grove, California, is on the shy side, but he stepped up when Jenn needed him during a group date. She was terrified when she was asked to hold a python during a photo shoot, but Dylan came to her rescue, wrapping the snake around himself and posing for the picture with her. This won Jenn over, and she chose him for some one-on-one time after the group date.

Dylan and Jenn have a lot in common since they're both studying to be in the medical field. They bonded during their one-on-one time, and Jenn said that Dylan reminded her of herself. Although Dylan is the youngest contestant, he's definitely one of the most mature ones as well. Dylan would be a fantastic partner for Jenn, as he's respectful, kind, and has the same goals for the future as her.

9Jeremy Simon - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Jeremy Got Jenn's Heart Racing

Jeremy, a 29-year-old real estate investor from New York, New York, caught Jenn's attention on premiere night when he pulled up in a red sports car rather than riding in the limousine. However, when Brian Autz stole both Jenn and the car away from him, Jeremy decided to take the high road and not start an argument. Jeremy then faded into the background a bit until the episode 3 racetrack group date, during which he stopped driving during a race to kiss Jenn, even though it meant that he lost the race. Jenn ended up giving Jeremy the group date rose.

Jeremy and Jenn are slowly building a connection, which could grow into something special. It'll be interesting to see where their relationship goes. Jeremy is a mature man who hasn't allowed himself to get pulled into drama, so he seems to be there for the right reasons. If he can continue to move his relationship with Jenn forward and keep her heart racing, then there might be a future there.

10Austin Ott - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Austin Hasn't Had As Much Time With Jenn

Austin, a 28-year-old sales executive from San Diego, California, had a slow start with Jenn. However, he finally had the chance to spend some time with her during the racetrack group date. He won the race on the date, and celebrated with champagne. Austin confessed to Jenn that he's been cheated on in the past and that he's never been in love before.

Although Jenn and Austin seem to have made a bit of connection during the group date, their relationship simply isn't as far along as some of the others. Austin seems like a great guy, but he has a lot of ground to make up if he expects to get engaged to Jenn at the end of the season. Jenn and Austin's relationship might not be strong enough to compete with the others.

11John Mitchell - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

John & Jenn Haven't Made Much Of A Connection

John, a 25-year-old medical student from Delray Beach, Florida, has a lot in common with Jenn because of their future careers in the medical field. On The Bachelorette season 21 premiere night, he brought a pedestal for Jenn to stand on during his limousine entrance. However, John has only had brief one-on-one time with Jenn, including when he brought her a plate of chocolates in episode 3. While Jenn said that she wouldn't keep anyone around if she couldn't see a future with him, it's hard to believe that she'll end up with John when so many of the other men are so much further along with her than him.

However, John is a wonderful man who deserves to find love, although it doesn't seem possible at this point in the season for him to build a strong enough connection with Jenn that would result in an engagement. Perhaps he'll appear on Bachelor in Paradise in the future. Better yet, he'd make the perfect lead for the next season of The Bachelor.

12Thomas Nguyen - The Bachelorette Season 21 Contestant

Thomas Has Been Involved In So Much Drama

Thomas, a 31-year-old retirement adviser from Tucker, Georgia, has been more wrapped up in the drama with the other men than his relationship with Jenn. During The Bachelorette season 21 premiere, they bonded about their Vietnamese backgrounds and the sacrifices that their immigrant parents made for them, but Thomas' conflict with Devin during episode 2 overshadowed that. Thomas was upset that Devin stole Jenn away first because he thought that the men who hadn't had time with her yet should be able to speak to her first.

Thomas confronted Devin in front of Jenn, stealing him away to argue with him instead of spending time with Jenn. However, Jenn told him that making decisions for her was taking away her ability to make her own choices. In episode 3, Thomas became a villain when he and Sam M. mocked Sam N. for declaring his love for Jenn. Episode 4 brought more of the same as Thomas argued with Sam N. once again. Although Thomas and Jenn shared an initial bond, it doesn't seem possible anymore that he will be able to build a strong enough relationship with her that will lead to an engagement.

Jenn's decisions are only going to get more difficult as her Bachelorette season 21 journey continues. She has some really terrific guys left in this group of 12, including an ex-boyfriend who may or may not join the cast. Hopefully, Jenn will fall in love by the end of the season, and she'll get engaged and live happily ever after.
