The Bachelorette: Devin Strader Removes Controversial Video About Jenn Tran After Backlash From Fans

After fan backlash, The Bachelorette season 21 villain Devin Strader has deleted a controversial video that he made about his ex-fiancée, Jenn Tran, in which he told his side of the story of their breakup. During The Bachelorette season 21 finale, Jenn broke new ground on the show when she asked Devin to marry her. He said yes and then proposed to her in return. However, during the "After The Final Rose" episode, Jenn revealed that Devin had broken off their engagement via a 15-minute phone call, ending their relationship.

The following week, in an Instagram post (shared in part by E! News via YouTube)Devin attempted to share his side of the story by revealing most of his and Jenn's private text messages. He also disputed many of Jenn's claims, including the timeline of their breakup and the fact that she said that he refused to go to couple's counseling with her. Devin also apologized to Jenn for following Maria Georgas on Instagram. In addition, he shockingly stated that he was Jenn's second choice behind Marcus Shoberg.

Although Devin thought that the video was going to give clarity and allow him to speak his truth, the fan backlash was immediate.

Although Devin thought that his video was going to give clarity and allow him to speak his truth, the fan backlash was immediate. In fact, Devin had to delete the video and edit it because sensitive text messages between him and Jenn were shown. However, fans felt that the revised video still revealed too much and was inappropriate, and they told Devin in the comments. Now he's deleted it for good.

Throughout The Bachelorette season 21, Devin prided himself on being unapologetically himself. Fans were torn over whether he was a villain, especially because he had so many conflicts with men such as Sam McKinney, Thomas Nguyen, and Aaron Erb, but he seemed sincere with Jenn. However, after his breakup with Jenn, most of Bachelor Nation turned on him completely, especially as viewers saw Jenn sob while watching their proposal with him sitting next to her.

The fact that Devin, who isn't afraid to speak his mind, deleted this video, proves that Bachelor Nation has essentially canceled him. This means that he most likely won't be invited to Bachelor In Paradise season 10. Unlike past villains such as Thomas Jacobs, Brayden Bowers, and Shanae Ankney, who had beautiful redemption stories in Paradise, Devin has gone too far and most likely won't be heard from again.
