The Bachelorette Alum Tyler Norris Is Engaged to The Voice's Alyssa Sheridan

The stars are aligning for Tyler Norris and Alyssa Sheridan after their recent engagement!

The Bachelorette alum, 28, got down on one knee to pop the question to his girlfriend and soon-to-be fiancée Sheridan on a beach in Wildwood Crest, N.J.

Norris shared the couple’s exciting news in a carousel of photos posted to Instagram on Wednesday, May 14, showing the pair embracing in the middle of a romantic beach display.

“Well I’ve been dreaming of this day since the day I met you,” Norris wrote in the caption. “You’re everything I could have ever asked for and more. How I got so lucky to meet you still doesn’t make sense to me. I love you more than I can explain Lyss, now let’s do this damn thing future Mrs. Norris!”

Norris, who appeared on season 19 of The Bachelorette and seasons 8 and 9 of Bachelor in Paradise, signed the caption affectionately with “Your Fiancé,” before thanking the photographer and event coordinator.

In a video posted among the photos from their engagement, fans are given an inside look at exactly how Norris pulled off the surprise proposal. Sheridan begins a line for a promotional video when Norris interrupts her.

“This isn’t a promotional thing by the way,” Norris tells his girlfriend before grabbing both of her hands. “I love you so much and I can’t explain to you how much I love you.”

In the video, The Voice season 9 singer is visibly surprised and emotional as Norris continues with his display of affection for her.

“I may have said a prayer years ago, and I said ‘God, please put somebody in my life that’s going to be with me forever,' " Norris said. “If I had known then that person was gonna be across the country, I would’ve left way earlier. I spent 26 years of my life without you in it, and I don’t think I can go another day without you in it.”

The couple announced their relationship in 2023 and have been inseparable ever since. 

Sheridan is heard exclaiming, “Oh my gosh!” as Norris bent on one knee and revealed the engagement ring.

In another video, Sheridan is seen admiring her new ring while holding her hand out in front of her, “I love it!”

Norris, who helped pick out the ring, is heard in the video saying how he chose a different band than originally planned because he thought it looked better. Smiling, Sheridan says “I don’t care, I love it!”

A close up of the yellow-gold band with emerald-cut diamond ring is included in the couple’s carousel documenting their engagement.

Sheridan gave fans a close-up of the beautiful emerald-cut diamond in a separate video posted to her Instagram Stories with the song “So This Is Love” by Sneha playing in the background. 

“Besides my fiancé, I don’t think I’ve ever laid eyes on something so perfect 🥹❤️,”  Sheridan captioned the video. 

The couple traveled back to L.A. together on May 15. Norris posted to his Instagram Stories an aerial view from the airplane captioned, “Back to Cali with the future Mrs. Norris thank you everyone who sent messages love all of you ❤️. I’m on Cloud 9 ❤️.”

Norris appeared on Rachel Recchia’s season of The Bachelorette in 2022. Recchia broke up with Norris the week before meeting his family during hometown week. Most recently, Norris appeared on Season 9 of the Bachelor in Paradise until leaving during Week 4 when he found there wasn’t a spark with Mercedes Northup.
