The Bachelor: The Real Reason Joey Graziadei & Kelsey Anderson May Not Be Moving To New York

After Joey Graziadei proposed to Kelsey Anderson on The Bachelor season 28, the couple promised to move to New York City as they navigated the circuit of talk shows and podcasts, their newfound fame, and their engagement. After The Bachelor season 28 concluded, Joey and Kelsey planned to move in the summer after spending some time together as a couple. Before Joey first appeared on The Bachelorette, he used to teach professional tennis in Koloa, Hawaiiafter which he relocated to Philadelphia to live with his sister.

The Bachelor: The Real Reason Joey Graziadei & Kelsey Anderson May Not Be Moving To New York

Before appearing on The Bachelor, Kelsey worked as a project manager in New Orleans, where Joey and Kelsey decided to temporarily live together during this transitional time. They were filming and planning a move to a new city. Though their schedules are busy, living in Kelsey's New Orleans apartment with her two roommates has proven to be much like the sitcom New Girl, as Joey pointed out. Although they seem happy to be living together regardless of the conditions, they're likely looking forward to having their own place and a new beginning.

Joey Has A Damaged Credit Score

He Forgot To Pay His Bills

In June, Kelsey and Joey appeared on the Trading Secrets podcast, where Joey admitted to missing a credit card payment while filming The Bachelor. Joey explained he had used a credit card to make an online purchase and simply forgot to pay it off. His credit score dropped significantly, making it difficult to be considered as a qualified applicant to get into an apartment building. He went on to say that he is still currently collecting more debt on four separate credit cards as he supports both himself and Kelsey.

Getting an apartment in New York is challenging for anyone, so having a poor credit score will not make Joey and Kelsey's transition into the city any easier. However, given the success of The Bachelor franchise, it's doubtful that Joey's credit score will prevent the couple from finding an apartment building that will accept them. It's only a temporary concern for the couple but something to get under control before they settle in a city that has a notoriously higher cost of living than New Orleans.

To focus on the opportunities that have come up after filming The Bachelor, Kelsey also disclosed on the Trading Secrets podcast that she temporarily quit her job as a project manager. This free time has given her the flexibility to travel with Joey while filling the world in on what life is like for them post-filming on social media. She has also been staying active, even sharing details of Kelsey's Pilates workouts and showing off her biceps on social media.

In the past, Kelsey has spoken about how much she loves her job and genuinely believes that she is uniquely qualified to do it. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Project Management and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities from Saint Leo University. Aside from project management, Kelsey also hopes to start her own nonprofit someday, so making the move to New York City would certainly provide her with several career opportunities to pursue her interests in landmark consulting and nonprofit work.

They Were Last Seen In New York On TikTok

Kelsey And Joey Belong In The City

In a recent TikTok video, Kelsey hilariously invented her own version of a New York accent when she and Joey spent the day together in the city shopping, strolling, and eating. It's unclear if Joey and Kelsey were looking at apartments during their time in the city, but Joey does tell Kelsey in the video that she "should be getting ready," which might suggest they had somewhere important to be, such as an apartment viewing. Joey seems to operate on more of an itinerary than Kelsey, who looks happy to be there regardless.

Hopefully, Joey and Kelsey remain committed to finding an apartment in the city the same way Kelsey has remained committed to her accent. The caption of the video reads: "I'm pretty sure I made this accent up... I didn't meet anyone that talks like this in NY", which not only highlights Kelsey's vibrant personality but also proves that the city's melting pot could use some of what Joey and Kelsey have to offer. After all, deciding where they want to live and start their life together has been the biggest obstacle for Joey and Kelsey in their new relationship so far.

They’re Having Fun Traveling Together

Who Wouldn't Love To Tour The Country?

When they're not living at Kelsey's apartment in New Orleans or traveling to New York, Joey and Kelsey have been taking their time enjoying life together, going on adventures across the U.S. Recently, Joey took Kelsey to her first hockey game to support The Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena in Florida. Before that trip, they attended the CMA Festival in Nashville, where they listened to country music together, met the musical artist Jelly Roll, and filmed some fit-check TikTok videos for everyone to enjoy.

Now that Joey and Kelsey are engaged after finishing The Bachelorthey are also attending weddings together for the first time as a couple. Most recently, they were seen enjoying a beautiful wedding ceremony in Sintra, Portugal, where Kelsey wore a stunning yellow dress, and Joey wore a classic tuxedo as they toasted to the bride and groom. Hopefully, Joey and Kelsey will be the next wedding for their friends to attend, and if all goes according to plan, maybe the ceremony will happen in New York!

The Bachelor is available to stream on Hulu.
