The Bachelor has been a mainstay on ABC since 2002 and spawned several spinoffs, including Bachelor in Paradise and The Golden Bachelor. The show continues to be a ratings hit and social media powerhouse, so Season 29 has always been a sure thing. When will The Bachelor Season 29 premiere?

The Bachelor Season 29 does not have a specific premiere date yet, but the show will premiere in 2025. The Bachelor was renewed for Season 29 in May 2024.

Who is the next Bachelor?

Grant was announced as the new Bachelor at the end of the August 12 episode of The Bachelorette. The 30-year-old day trader from Houston was eliminated ahead of Jenn’s hometown dates. Grant becomes the second Black lead of the flagship series after Matt James, who starred in Season 25.

After his Bachelorette heartbreak, Grant is “eager to embark on a journey filled with romance, adventure, and genuine connections. He hopes to find a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.”

In a video for Good Morning America, Grant said he’s “so excited to kick off my journey to finding love, and I hope that you guys join me next year when the show premieres on ABC. I’m looking for a love that’s kind and understanding. Some qualities I’m looking for in a potential partner is somebody who’s adventurous, somebody who’s affectionate, and somebody who’s loving. I can’t wait for this incredible journey to kick off. It’s going to be so fun. I hope you guys tune in.

While a suitor from Jenn’s season was the most obvious choice, Tyler Cameron, fan favorite from Hannah Brown‘s season of The Bachelorette, told TV Insider that he won’t close the door on possibly becoming the Bachelor in the future.

“I would never rule it out,” he said. “I think to be the Bachelor is a cool honor. I’m a big believer that life’s about the greatest story you can tell. One day I want to tell my grandkids, ‘I did this.’ And maybe if I do The Bachelor, it’s like, ‘Yeah, I met your mom on this show and there was 30 other women, but she was the one, son.’ I don’t know. I think it’d be cool one day, maybe. It’s not right now in my cards, but maybe one day.”

Why was Grant announced so early?

The Bachelor reveal is usually reserved for the After the Final Rose special following The Bachelorette finale. ABC executive Robert Mills explained why they revealed the new Bachelor earlier than usual.

“We are announcing Grant so quickly so people can still apply to be on his season. If you think Grant is potentially the man of your dreams or you know someone who is apply ASAP!!!” Robert wrote on X.

Are Joey & Kelsey still together?

Joey chose Kelsey over Daisy Kent in the emotional Season 28 finale of The Bachelor. Joey proposed to Kelsey on the beach in Tulum, and they are still very much in love today. Graziadei moved to New Orleans to be with Anderson, but they are planning to move to New York this year.

Graziadei spoke with TV Insider about how grateful he is for the show leading him to Anderson. “I’m just feeling like the luckiest guy in the world that I found my person, and I just can’t wait to see what’s next for us,” he gushed. Over the summer, the couple went on vacation with The Bachelor Season 27’s Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar and The Bachelorette Season 20’s Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko.
