The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei Reveals Shocking Moment That Created Tension In Kelsey Anderson Relationship Amid New Living Situation

After months of speculation over the state of their relationship, The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei finally admitted there have been some difficult moments for the couple over the past year. After they got engaged during The Bachelor season 28, they lived a whirlwind life, traveling all over the place and beginning their new lives together. At various points, Joey and Kelsey were accused of living above their means and having money issues, among other things, and faced breakup rumors. They usually ignored the speculation, but every so often, they felt the need to put a stop to all the rumors.

The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei admitted that one particular moment in his life over the past year put a strain on his relationship with Kelsey Anderson.

Joey appeared as a guest on Taylor Lautner and his wife Taylor's podcast The Squeeze to discuss his life before The Bachelor, what it was like filming a reality TV show and dealing with the aftermath, competing on Dancing With The Stars and much more. At one point during the interview, Joey admitted that appearing on DWTS ended up being one of the most challenging moments in his relationship with Kelsey. "It was difficult at times," he said. "There was a lot of outside opinion at the beginning," referring to Joey partnering with Jenna Johnson during the competition.

"There's a lot of stuff you can't control. There were very unique and rare things that really put a lot of strain" on them, Joey added. Since DWTS coincided with the first year of their relationship, Joey wished he could have spent more time focusing on strengthening his bond with his fiancée, which he wasn't able to do because he was so busy. "I have to be making sure that I'm there fully" for Kelsey.

There were times when he would get home from DWTS and not feel excited to be around her; he realized he needed "five to 10 minutes to forget what was in my head," to reset the situation so he could focus his attention on Kelsey. While this strain hurt their relationship, it also allowed them the opportunity to strengthen that bond and for Joey to try to be "the best communicator I could" be. Despite all the noise about whether they're going to break up, he doesn't actually think it'll happen because they're both putting in "a lot of effort."

Joey and Kelsey had the added stressors of falling in love on national TV, continuing their relationship for the world to see on social media, and then to add a talent competition show into the mix.

Their critics always find some supposed sign that Joey and Kelsey are on the verge of breaking up, even if it's not true at all. Considering all the various breakups that have happened in Bachelor Nation in recent months and years, Joey and Kelsey's relationship is considered a success by comparison. They're planning to get married in 2026 or 2027, which means they've got plenty of time to make that special day as perfect as possible. They don't want to rush their wedding and end up failing like some other couples have experienced.
